my adobe flash player wont install ive tryed to unstall it and restall it and nothing seems to work?? sttupied updates

umm okay well i try to install a update for adobe and it says i did it... but then it wont work.. then i unstAlled and tryed it again and it did not work again it says it worked but when i go to play something it says pls download the new flash player

I've actually had a problem with adobe flash on another laptop which is running windows vista.

And the main thing is a) uninstall previous version of the flash player first.

b) make sure your computer has the latest Microsoft updates

c) when downloading the file, make sure your browser is closed.

and

d) Make sure other "web" applications are NOT running. This is the tricky part, but bring up your task manager, and close some processes that are running on your system that are web based (like msn, veoh web player etc.)

This fixed it for me.

Good ideas from Boo and I'd also suggest a free cleaning utility from CNET Downloads if you don't keep up with maintenance very often.

I'm a bit more daring than most with my PC so I use Advanced System Care but most others will suggest CCleaner because it cleans but not as abrasively.

Be careful because some cleaners promoted by smaller developers can either scrub too hard or waste your time by presenting what needs to be fixed but not fixing it until you pay them to unlock their software and then clogging your computer with marketing spyware.
