Hello! I'm a student now and I had a task to do a research work on any topic I like. I have chosen sociology and have written article "Sociology for everyone". Please, do me a favor, tell your point of view. I will be waiting for your comments.

Sincerely yours, kiwiusly

Is this something you've written or are you looking on ideas of how to write it? you could talk about how sociological ideas can analyse nearly every area of our lives. While I was at uni, I heard of a student who had done her dissertation on The Sociology of Tea Drinking. I'm not joking

Sociology usually involves directly examining your experience: in 2 of my classes I wrote an autobiography of myself and that was part of the interest for me. Sociologists show how people's selves are formed by intersections of gender, class, and race. And you can study things like the history of democratic institutions, public policies relating to the family, the impact of new information technologies, and how health is linked to factors like social inequality. People from other academic disciplines study social theory too, like political science, communications, environmental studies, even business. So it has wide relevance.
