Rubik's Cube OLL and PLL

i learned beginners method to solve the cube, then i learned F2L for the first two layers...
My time is now around 70 seconds, but i know if i learn OLL and PLL for the last layer then my time could possibly get shorter...
However i need to learn many new algorithms (around 50), so should i really take the time?
Do you know any shortcuts to the last layer?
