John Denver

I love John Denver's songs, his lyrics really speak to me, at all stages in my life. I had not noticed one song until after my husband passed away, and this song came into my mind while I was driving near where we used to live. It was so meant for me to hear. I believe my loved one put it in my head to tell me something it was just so unbelievable. I had to play it over and over again to get all the words.
I just have one CD of JD's, but I love it.
I do like all sorts of music otherwise, country is quite soothing though I find.

i liked him very much
he was a very gd singer/songwriter + i taped the story of john Denver several yrs back + that was also very moving
his Father was a pilot + an ex-Airforce man whom John had at one time a hard life with
as his Dad somehow didnt tke to john + why is way beyond me as he seemed a really gd guy john denver part of the story his Dad whom was a pilot in Airforce didnt want john to do likewise

but they somehow sorted their differences + made up before unfortunately John's Dad died but yrs later john Denver himself was killed in his own plane
which was also his big passion as he became a pilot
himself but crashed unfortunately

i loved his songs + do find him to have been
very under-estimated but his songs still in my mind shall live on
when u look at many of today's so-called performers
he was an icon in comparison
just listen on to his music
ive got his + some other's on my computer
meantime u tke care + be strong in time's when u feel down

but possibly better playing john Denver's songs when you are feeling better + happy with yourself
but my guess is that's the way your husband would've wanted you to be happy + stay smiling for him + also enjoy listening to john Denver he was brill i reckon

A while back he was scheduled to put on a concert in our town.He flew in from Ohio and got there about an hour and a half before the show starts.I was there to help out and got a cheeseburger for him from a snack stand.I remember the poor guy looked so tired out.But at the time of the concert,he gave a 1 1/2 hour concert and entertained everybody.He even did a little juggling.He was a real professional.

I thought the Rockies would be a lot more Rockier than this...

I am developing a film inspired by the life of John Denver with whom I worked for a number of years in Australia and in the US. The posting referred to a recording you had about John's early life. If you still have the recording and are willing to share it I would really love a copy as I am spending a heap of time searching for archival material on John's life outside the music industry. Hi there Rocketship

The film of John Denver was called "Take Me Home"
it was a dramatization about his life story
which i had taped on VHS Format several yrs back now from tv
if you are interested i would have to record it on to a blank VHS tape if this would be any use to you.

My favorite song of his has got to be Rocky Mountain High. It doesn't speak to me, but it has lyrics that really clear up my mind and cheer me up.

My mum nearly got run over by him in London years ago, she was soooo happy lol!

She was on her way to go see him in concert and being the daft cow she is, walked straight out in front of the road and nearly got hit by the black cab he was in.

She adores him also
