Me and my Granddad were talking about this the other day.

Should there be an option to say 'No, I don't believe any of these parties should be in control'. Not voting is meant to be a vote of no confidence in our parties, but its not seen that way. I mean they don't count all the people who could have voted but didn't do they?

So if there was that option, do you think people would choose that? Or that it would make the parties try harder?

And if that option 'won' what would it mean?

I actually really like that idea..
I'll be able to vote in a year, and most of the time I don't support any of them. (I supported Obama though. Obama Obama Obama Obama!)

I don't know what they'd do if that vote won out though...
Maybe disqualify the candidates and get new ones, while the old ones hold office..?

I don't know either, I didn't get that far in my musings.

I suppose you'd have to hold another election, new candidates, new policies etc. You could probably easily keep the status quo while this happens. So the old party is sort of still in power but hold no authority to make changes?

You can vote for no party at a general election. i'm 95% I was asked to only one time I voted.

I think I was told you can vote for no opinion held or something like that. Whether they are counted I do not know? Why anyone would want to is up to them.

Anyway I stand to be corrected as it was a long time ago.
