I was just watching a show called Unsolved Mysteries and they were talking about a woman who had MS. She had a brace on one leg and had to use a wheelchair most of the time. One day she was struck by lightning and over the next few days all of her symptoms of MS were gone! She is perfectly healthy now and nobody can explain how this happened.

It reminds me of the guy in the news today who suddenly doesn't have HIV anymore.

That would seem to suggest that MS is caused by a fault in the electrical impulses in the brain?

MS is caused by the insulating layer of fatty tissue around the nerves breaking down, maybe the electric shock stimulated the fatty tissue to grow back?

Yeah it attacks the CNS which is run on electricity, i guess they cant send a whole thunderbolt of lightning equivalent through someone to test it though. Good for her though! Its nice to hear a positive outcome
