WHAT AN OUTRIGHT JOKE of a World Series, thanks to Houston's manager...

Gotta be one of the most inept managing performances (or lack of) I have seen, especially tonight. I thought we had seen bad managing HERE in Arizona with Bob Melvin (D-backs mgr.) until we saw Games 1 & 3 of this WS. TONIGHT... BOTTOM of the NINTH, a TIE game, at HOME, runners on 1st & 3rd, only ONE OUT, good SPEED at THIRD (he'd just stolen it), and one of the best BUNTERS with SPEED at the plate... AND the Houston Astros manager, PHIL GARNER lets Taveras SWING THE BAT? PUT THE BALL IN PLAY... GAME OVER, Astros win.

Garner is a horrible manager. We're lucky we made it to the World Series. We also would have won that game if he had pulled Oswalt when he was struggling instead of keeping him in there and giving up five runs. ANY other manager would do it. Note to Astros Front Office: Never hire another manager whose managerial credentials are only Detroit and Milwaukee.

I agree that Phil Garner seriously messed up. He should have pulled Oswalt when he gave away one run, not five and he never should have put Brad Lidge in. I'm amazed that they won the NLCS playing like that.
