Is any-one on tfs a laywer?? if you are or know of someone who is a laywer how long did you have to go to uni/collage and what subjects in school did you have to do to get excepted for a law degree?

My cousin is a barrister - he spent 3 years at uni then about 4 or 5 years at a practice tilll he got made partner.

He also took the bar exam in that time - took him 7 or 8 years in total

high school subjects not so relevant - high marks a must (only course requiring higher over here is Medicine) and humanities more regular than maths/sciences

in oz the degree is 5 years
the one year as an article clerk in a law office
then a job as an associate

so 6 years

hi horny....
any particular 4 years course degree can go on to law proper,,,,mean... me as an example i took ab. politcal science course then afrer that will go on to my pre law 4 yrs... then a bar exam of 1.5 year walla ur a lawyer then but if u want u can also have ur 2 years masteral.. + a doctorate of ur choice.............. harvard is the best

They like subjects that are english based and use analysis, e.g. english language or lit, history, stuff like that.
