Well, they still make them of course, but who can forget those public information films from the 80's and 70's - and they go wayyyy back.

that has to be the funniest in case of nuclear war duck and cover

there used to be 1 where there was two boys crossing on a rail way and 1 got his football boots caught in the tracks and nearly gets splated i think..

they wer so good the prodigy did a mix of charlie

Haha, I remeber 'em well! Also those short n horrible info films about the dangers of water/farms/railways etc....some of them were priddy gruesome! *shudders*
