Woohooo
Clocks go forward = an hour less at work.

Well, granted you get to work an hour earlier, but it doesn't really feel it.
And all this rubbish people say about an extra hour in bed when the clocks go back later in the year - no it isn't, it's an extra hour at work. You finish at 5 in the summer for example, well it's finishing at 6 in the winter.
Well something like that anyway

It's the closest I get to time travel. How frightfully exciting!

Yes, they are suggesting that after this forward jump of an hour we should leave the clocks where they are in the Autumn so that we would then be TWO hours ahead of Greenwich mean-time in the Winter.

This would have the effect of having much lighter evenings for longer in the Winter in the UK.

Then...when it shows - for example - 6-PM on the clock it would only actually be 4-PM and much lighter.

Don't know if I agree with that as then the mornings would be darker for longer and the kids would be going to school in the dark.

What do you guys think ?

I hate having to wake in the dark, its so unnatural to me. I would be a terrible milk man.

I get grouchy in the winter simply because of getting up when its dark. So i like the way things are at the moment, seeing as its a short period of time in the year when i have to face it.

I love the mornings for internet-computing in Britain as it is still hours before the Americans get up and slow the whole shebang down to a crawl !
