@Na Said
Dear Leon,
Why do you think I hate the Constitution?
The answer to your question was the link I provided directly before stating such. It was the Senate Judiciary Committee’s report on Trump’s attempt to get his DOJ involved in overturning the election results. Obviously you either didn’t read it or make the connection, so I will summarize it for you:
The very day that AG Barr left the DOJ on Dec. 23, President Trump and his top White House aides began a relentless pressure barrage at the remaining DOJ leaders to get them to help overturn the 2020 election results. Nine calls and meetings were made with acting AG Jeffrey Rosen and acting Deputy AG Richard Donoghue, as daily outreaches to the department were made over this. This continued until the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol. "Just say that the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican Congressmen," Trump said during one of these phone calls to Rosen on Dec. 27. Acting AAG Jeffrey Clark, who Trump hand picked to replace Rosen, even tried to entice Rosen to fall in line by promising to reject Trump’s offer to replace Rosen if he did so. The report also confirmed Mark Meadow’s (Trump’s chief of staff) role in pressuring Rosen as well on "multiple occasions" to launch election fraud investigations, "violating longstanding restrictions on White House intervention in DOJ law enforcement matters,” as well as pushing him to meet with Rudy Guiliani on it. A dramatic and contentious meeting occurred in the Oval Office on Jan. 3, in which Donoghue warned of a mass resignation of Justice officials and federal prosecutors if Trump did indeed replace Rosen with Clark in attempts to aid in his scheme of overturning the election results. White House lawyers Pat Cipollone and Patrick Philbin threatened resignations as well, referring to Clark’s efforts in pursuit of voter fraud allegations as a “murder-suicide pact”.
When someone is in charge who clearly do anything to stay in power, including tearing up the Constitution in order to do so, then that is EXTREMELY dangerous to, not only our Constitution, but to the very existence of a democratic system of government that it installs. This is how dictatorships are formed and extended.
I don’t care what that person is for or against or what platform he governs on, a person who pulls this s*** absolutely should NOT be given the seat at the Oval Office desk.
Obviously you cannot say the same.
