My strategy for myself which I also recommend for others:
1. Stay healthy and strive for work/life balance. Once you've identified the antagonists who are causing significant stress, do what's needed to mitigate their role in your life.
2. Cary a concealed pistol (maybe someday I can get one) and get the appropriate safety training.
3. Only use the pistol to defend yourself and those you care about (aside from hunting or similar sport).
4. Vote against politicians who talk "common sense gun reform"
or showcase missiles as an argument against a well-regulated militia.
Wouldn't common sense gun reform include a requirement for Legitimate safety training?
I thought I remember someone wanting to pass a regulation to require that with each firearm sold, a safety lock of some sort must be sold with it.
Information on state level crimes are not required to be uploaded to the national database. So some can be denied in one state, cross the border and buy a gun. How does that make sense.
Of course it won't stop the professional criminals ... so
(all together now)
