You call me names and that's from hate.

Your insecurity is on you, not me.

You can try to put the hate thing on me, but at best it is some reflection of you not me.

I won't wear your tag.

I never said I was an expert. I do know something.
Okay, there's a consensus that the climate has changed but not one where Man is the main cause nor A cause of the change.

I believe I read that it's a very low number of climate scientist which believe Man is the Main cause of climate change.

The Earth goes through different cycles. It wobbles and circles in ways which effect the weather. Solar flares... I'm running though my old knowledge.

I don't take an experts word for things.

Yes, you know some basic science that we all learned in 1st grade. Congrats.

Either you are presenting this as the extent of your knowledge of science or you genuinely believe that this is a legit argument against human induced climate change (let alone having anything to do with it). Either way, it looks silly and shows how much you need to read and learn.

And you obviously read wrong about climate scientists.

So, in all, it seems like you have a lot of reading to do. Get to it. I’m not going to dictate the reading material it for you. I’ve given up on that, especially when having to first be a science teacher for people who didn’t take it beyond 12th grade (and probably didn’t listen to much before that either) and still want to pretend they know more about it than those who have PhDs in it. I know I’m not going to change your mind no matter what I present.

All I can do for people like you is say to stop pretending to be an expert and actually be one. And the only way you’re going to be one is to read and research, like one. Otherwise, you are a sheep, a victim, and only lying to yourself, cheating yourself, and hurting yourself.

I wouldn't go so far as to say we are all "sheep", but over all your post is on the mark.

I do think that some people are (mostly) independent... though these people are very few indeed.

I regularly call myself a 'Reagan era Republican', which now in the 21st Century makes me a leftist liberal... so I am clearly not a "Democrat", not a "21st Century Republican", not a "Trumpet"... but a claim of being "independent" would be a falsehood.

There are a few truly independent thinkers out there. But they are few.

Oh, goodness. A teacher. And you've already given up on me? :smh:
Oh, and a PhD? :bows:

You don't know if you can change my mind but you seem to believe you can't.

People like me? I've had a lot of teachers and preachers say that to me. Of course, I went to government schools.

No, I'm not just believing someone who says they know more than goes on to find out their predictions of "12 years to the end of the world!," is Cult think.

And I told you that you do not get to dictate whether or not I hate someone, so your position is bulls***.

You are not the boss of me.

There is literally no body on planet earth that I hate... and you least of all.

So cry to some other torture tree about hate, but you have no control over me.

I am a fiscal conservative. Balance the budget. Welfare should only be for those who are unable to work. Bring our troops home. Strengthen and rely on the UN and global alliances for global conflicts.

I do not believe in outlawing guns. Gun reform to me means strengthening the Brady Bill and eliminating loopholes, and only outlawing guns that whose sole purpose is to kill many people in seconds (like bombs).

Woke has gone overkill and is the reason people hate Democrats. Change the message.

However I do not believe in trickle down economics. Doesn’t work. Taxing the rich won’t hurt the economy - if anything it gets people spending more because it ultimately gets re-distributed to those who are not rich.

And I believe in democracy. We need voter reform that makes it easier for everyone to participate and everyone’s voice to be heard.

We need health care overhaul.

And, yes, we need to reduce our carbon footprint. I don’t care how... we can create carbon capture tech, we can plant nuclear power plants, hopefully fusion plants in the near future everywhere. Whatever. Just get it done. I want my son to still be able to live in California when he is my age.

I’m not a science teacher. And I certainly don’t have a PhD. I’m saying to listen to one who does have one instead of me. I don’t want to have to teach basic science before we even get to climate change. I’m tired. Old. And want to have fun in life rather than waste my time on that on people who won’t listen anyways.

Read.

I can't read the work of experts but I did read some reports on the reports of experts.

Seems we are only partially right. You are right about 97% but I was right that they don't all agree on it being the cause of man or mainly man.

97% of Climate Scientists

From the above Wikipedia link…

“Nearly all actively publishing climate scientists (97–98%) support the consensus on anthropogenic climate change, and the remaining 2% of contrarian studies either cannot be replicated or contain errors. A 2019 study found scientific consensus to be at 100%.”

I’m already familiar with the older articles you linked. To me, they are splitting hairs, especially Forbes (and not surprisingly, as they have been biased in the past - especially when that article was written - they’ve been less partial since Trump).

Their argument has been how guys like Gore and Kerry have falsely grouped all scientists in that 97% rather than just climate scientists. Fine. And so what? Notice I didn’t. I don’t care what zoologists or microbiologists say about climate change and whether or not they are not part of the 97% I’m just interested in what the climate scientists say about climate change, because they are the ones that did all the studies, research, and publication on the subject. So again I state: 97% of climate scientists believe in human induced climate change. Read back on the thread - stated that earlier.

They also argue that one study says 80-90% rather than 97%. Again, so what? Splitting hairs. Point is, the overwhelming vast majority of published climate scientists who have done the research and study have stated their belief in anthropogenic climate change and backed it up with data.

And that’s where it matters: There is absolutely zero reason to instead believe in the minuscule minority of scientists on this, especially with zero or faulty data that they are reliant upon.

Unless, that is, you have a belief system that is in danger of
going through an existential crisis if the data is accepted.

But then that isn’t science, as it instead, by definition, puts the opposite of the scientific method in practice. It instead becomes religion.
