There's a larger ego fueling the Conservatives, more so than the ego fueling the philanthropist's; the Conservs only want to see success for those who vote for the same sports teams and uphold the same religion.
Tax-funded Social Assistance was designed to counter the ostracization that would otherwise be gratuitously exercised by the Conservatives.

Illegalizing marijuana to make it easier to imprison Mexicans and get them out of society is one a prime example of a Conservative tactic.

In the end, no matter how you try and sell it, political moralism is a very simple matter of Common Sense:

You make a great point here and it's simply incontrovertible that we modern societyists are in a pickle for sure for sure. On the one hand, it's too easy for everyone to see the health benefit of CBD oils and other practical uses for hemp even for those who wouldn't trade getting skunk drunk for getting stoned (you know that DoD requirements won't allow the worst Navy alcoholic to pull one smelly puff).

And on the other hand, we still have those Mexicans. So, yeah.

What does the Republican Party stand for?

1. We don't demand people lose their jobs if they don't agree with us.

2. It's okay to brand labels with characters who aren't white. Good bye Aunt Jemima. Good bye Uncle Ben. Ya'll are welcome at my house any time.

3. Remember back in the day when you could get gas for less than $2.00 a gallon while reading funny Tweets from the 45th president? Ah the good ole days!!

4. The thin blue line American Flag is not a symbol or racism. If I say I support police or I say I support all lives, that makes me a good liberal.

5. Burning books, tearing down statues, banning people from the internet, doxing. --- that's what fascists do. Fight speech with speech.

6. Energy independence is the way to go.

7. A strong foreign policy has a calming effect. When your friends and competitors watch you not finish your sentences and watch you ask the nurse/wife for rice pudding, the kids get reckless. Israel and Palestine much?

8. $4.00 per gallon gas is booboo.

9. Let the kids go back to school without masks. Do the right thing.

10. Stop telling me a boy can call himself a girl to compete in women's sports.

11. If you're the president and you give a speech at the National Day of Prayer, you should say "God" at least once.

You may stay in the party for parroting the misinformation and lies... or should I say Gaslighting and Obfuscating.

Energy independence is highly concerned with oil, the source of the country's principal transport fuels. In total energy consumption, the US was between 86% and 91% self-sufficient in 2016.

Hmmm... under Obama!!!

In May 2011, the country became a net exporter of refined petroleum products.

Hmmm... under Obama!!!

Was Obsma a Republican?

As of 2014, the United States was the world's third largest producer of crude oil, after Saudi Arabia and Russia, and second-largest exporter of refined products, after Russia.

In November 2019, the United States became a net exporter of all oil products, including both refined petroleum products and crude oil.

Thanks Obama!!!

If the Republicans/Conservatives (and the Democrats) hadn't spent literal decades bouncing from one 'moral panic' to the next trying to 'cancel' things like rock and roll, violent video games, and media depicting Satan, magic, and mythical creatures, I might actually be inclined to believe them when they say that their fight against 'cancel culture' is about 'freedom of speech' (even though that's not how that works). As it stands though, the only thing I think of when I see this 'anti cancel culture movement' is a side that dishes out tons of 'cancelling' themselves, but can't handle even the slightest reciprocation when the shoes on the other foot.

Of course, that leads to the hand wringing of 'well you only like it/say that because it hasn't happened to YOU yet'. Of course, referring back to the previous paragraph, YES IT HAS, AND MORE OFTEN THEN NOT IT WAS REPUBLICANS PERPETUATING OR ACTIVELY INITIATING AND PUSHING IT.

Want to know where the idea 'Corporations have the right to freedom of association and can kick anyone off their platform that they wish' came from? It's a consequence of a Republican policy that said that corporations are people. When I say that 'Corporations have the right to freedom of association' in response to the question 'why can companies kick people off their platform without recourse or warning', it is not to endorse such a stance, but to highlight that such a stance originated from the Republican party to begin with. They started that mess and now they're trying to blame the Democrats for it's existence when it starts affecting them?

Want to know why the internet isn't considered a public space and the likes of Facebook and Twitter are considered private entities even though 'Facebook and Twitter are so powerful that for all purposes they should be'? Blame the Republicans who never wanted to make the internet a public utility and actively fought every initiative to make it one. Blame the Republicans, whose philosophical policy dictates that there shall be no direct government involvement with industry and no dictating of a private companies policies.

While I may not necessarily disagree with some of the arguments from the 'anti cancel culture' crowd, it's going to take a lot more to convince me to 'throw in' at all with people who have historically only ever used arguments to push their own agendas, and to the direct detriment of everyone else's.

Fast forward to Trump runaway spending (dwarfed by POTUS 46 spending). . . .

If your response is to say (fiscally irresponsible) Trump is the party leader not Rand Paul, then don’t ask me. It’s been a binary choice between the parties and Trump was closer to me ideologically than Cankles or Uncle Joe.

At least Rand Paul can spell fiscal responsibility.

But who on the Dem side talks like Paul?

Fake news... we all know that the pedophile cabal is Shrillary and her Satanic sex orgy Democrats.

This is most likely a "hit job" by the MSM... just like they went after our lord god risen to save western humanity; Donald Jesus Christ Trump.
