Mr. Biden should have gotten out of politics when he left the office of Vice President.

At his prime, he was more clever than smart and now just a puppet for the far left. Clearly, he's diminished and I doubt he'll stay in office his full four-year term.

He's betrayed his Catholic upbringing and should stop referring to himself as Catholic.

He's also missed opportunities to focus on real problems such as the BLM/Antifa riots.

He needs to finish the wall Trump started and bring energy independence back to the United States.

He also needs to take a stand for Civil Liberties such as the First and Second Amendments.

Go eat your pudding and take a nap Joe. I'm sorry you're the president.

Either way, the right wing talk makes it sound that way.

Just because they "make it sound that way" doesn't mean people should believe their bulls***.

Mr. Biden had a long and successful career in politics which has culminated in him being elected President of the USA.

Quite an achievement!

Go Joe!

There fixed that for you.

That is part of my point. The other part is: are the "alt" right leaders, the ones people are listening to, really all that alt ?

They used to be "alt"... now they are "mainstream republicans"... even if they are conspiracy theory believing nut bags, they are what the GOP stands for now.

What the GOP was in the Reagan/Bush years is now the left, and what used to be the left & center left is now viewed as socialism, fascism, and communism.

Today's republicans are basically idiots.

Thus I walked away,

Yes that is the path I followed too

If there is such a thing as a "Left" Republican, I would be interested.

Or maybe The Republican(s that) Left

The socialist republicans were trying to push things so far right there would be an overwhelming left wing backlash that would bring about a socialist revolution. All they had to do was purposefully be idiots. The thing they probably didn't expect was that the rest of them would buy into it and actually be ok with it. Irresponsible policies with finance, social problems, the environment and international policy didn't lead to the expected socialist backlash, the Gumby brains simply accepted it.

Ok if you insist, I'll elaborate. To take over a country you need to create a revolution. To create a revolution people must be unhappy with their government. To make people unhappy with their government you must get the government to do things that make them unhappy. To make the government do things that make people unhappy you must control the government or at least enough of it to make people unhappy.

So, you create a faction that ignores the environment, reinforces systemic racism, taxes the poor, does stupid things on the international stage and etc.

You also create an opposition group(s) that offer an alternative, in this case socialism. You sell socialism in the universities and on the street. Some day when your movement gets enough following, stimulated by the same s*** you have the government you control doing, you can stage a coup. It might be violent revolution or it might be through voting. Then you own the government outright.

Socialism is to the left.

Republicans are to the right.

Thus "socialist republicans" does not make sense; there literally cannot be a "socialist republican".

In addition since socialism is to the left, a socialist wouldn't be pushing things to the right (even if he/she could somehow be a republican and a socialist)... the socialist would be pushing things to the left.

Now, republicans are in fact trying "to push things so far right"... but that is their nature....

"Why?"

So, again, your phrase didn't make sense.

The push to the right became insane under the reign of the neo cons. Prior the right was more moderate. The 2 main political parties in the US are fairly centrist on the political spectrum, each sitting on either side of the middle. Most of the Neo Con leaders probably did not realize this and were simply following someone else's lead. I'm sure their supporters in the general populace weren't aware at all.

The Neo Cons were originally part of the Democratic party. They left the party because they felt the dems weren't as staunchly anti Soviet Union as they should be. Hence the name Neo Conservatives (ie; they aren't really conservatives).

One of the main founders and primary intellectual of the Neo Conservative faction was Irving Kristol . Kristol was a Trotskyist in college.

"If I want you to go to the left, I push you as hard as I can to the right." The idea is to create a backlash, in this case a socialist one. Note the guys trying to create this backlash don't want the dems to be popular either, they want something more extreme.

DO you think Pope Clement V was a Christian or was he using his position and the church as a way to exercise power?
