Involuntarily committed would prevent the person from owning a weapon anyway, that's ridiculous.

Correct me if I'm wrong. What you're saying here is the Fed should dictate the gun laws, not the states. Do you think that some of the states with more strict gun regulations will be forced to loosen up? Those four states you cited have decided on their gun regulation by default.

Sorry I forgot to quote you to send an alert.

I think there should be some "Minimum" regulations at the federal level, and states can add on to it. But those minimum levels need to be implemented consistently - which is where I think part of the problem lies.

As pointed out, fed restricts for psychological reasons, but the fed database does not have all of the information.
I know past bills that never made it tried to correct that. I'm not sure if the current bills specifically call that out.

What does it take to get someone committed or declared mentally incompetent?

Biden to nominate ATF director and announce new executive actions on guns

And the stock holders of arms manufacturers silently cheered.

I am kicking myself that I didn't buy Smith and Wesson. I'm imagining someone will take this to the Supreme Court. 5 Neo Cons, 1 Trump appointee, and 3 Democrats sit on the Nation's highest court right now. The big question is how will the Neo Cons (socialists) vote? It would only take 2 of them to sway the vote.

A man was accidentally killed by a bullet from his relative’s gun when a bar fight broke out in Texas, officials say.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says two men began fighting Sunday night at the Micheladas La Barra in the Houston area, KTRK reported.

One of the men began “beating” the other with a gun and it fired a shot, killing his relative, the news outlet reported.

Damn that's stupid. In most states (I can't speak for Texas) it is illegal to carry a sidearm into an establishment that sells liquor for consumption.

Anti Stalinist leftists like the Socialists of the NAZI party. The Socialist Nazi party was opposed to Bolshevism. The irony being that Socialism and Communism were popularized and to a large part defined by Karl Marx. Also interesting to note is Germany helped the Bolshevik revolutionaries ( Post )

The GOP is opposed to Biden's nominee to head the ATF. Not surprising. He was an ATF agent at the Siege of Waco and is an avid supporter of gun control. See this ( Blog )

Here is the FBI's Homicide data by weapon type for the years 2014 to 2018. In 2017 you'll notice there were 7.061 homicide committed with a handgun. In the same year there were 390 homicides committed with a rifle and 3,121 committed weapon type not specified. The latter number is probably broken down at approximately the same ratio but even if you want to generous, there are far more homicides committed with a handgun. So why the push to ban "assault rifles?"

The NAZI party was not socialist. The few socialist in the NAZI party left it in it early days.

We've gone over this before.

Just because the word "socialist" was in the title (i.e. National Socialist Party, or more accurately the National Socialist German Workers' Party), does not make them "socialist".

If you honestly think it does, you must also think that North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) is a democracy.

This train of thought that you repeatedly go back to is idiocy... to you are just acting the troll.

The Nazi party took full control of all industry in Germany and used them to produce weapons, vehicles, aircraft, ammunition, fuel and uniforms for their soldiers. They supplemented it with slave labor from concentration camps. Taking control of the major modes of production is the definition of socialism.

The only trolling going on is your attempt to lead attention away from my last two posts which are on topic.

"Your" pretty little chart leaves out the number of victims per incident, as well as type of victim... really the entire w/w/w/w/w/h...all of which is relevant to any discussion of gun control.

For example: Based on "your" chart there were 390 homicides committed with a rifle a in 2017. Interestingly enough, there were something like 346 "mass shootings" incidents in 2017 most of which involved a rifle, not all of which involved deaths. (Some people put the number of incidents as low as 10 as compared to the number of deaths as much as 628)...

The problem being details (facts) and definitions... depending on which details (facts) "you" include and which definitions "you" use, the statistically presented picture can change drastically.
