"SpaceX Mars prototype rocket nails landing for the first time, but explodes on pad..."

Well that's not the kind of success I'd want to be part of if I was an astronaut.

To be fair, NASA had their share of “unsuccessful” launches before putting humans in them as well. It’s a process.

Give them credit for trying though. Someday we’ll get to the red planet.

Oh, they get credit for trying... and credit for trying and almost succeeding.

I'm torn here. On the one hand, I like rockets and I like the progress SpaceX is making.

On the other hand I cannot stand Mr Musk at all.

Not sure if I should be sad or laughing.

In other news, the Mars Rover landed successfully and Russia now have a humanoid robot on the ISS.

Wow! I missed the robot thing.
Are they planning on hijacking the ISS with the robot?

All they'd have to do is create an "Abandon Ship" condition and of course they won't take the robot.

Ive been following FEDOR for quite a while. Would be really interested in seeing what Boston Dynamics would do with it. However I think the future of the planet is robotic dogs, not terminators.

Robots built by robots. Amazing.
