It's a guide to understand things not all can see or hear.
The bible? Not really.

The prophets were writing down history as they saw it knowing the players would repeat their patterns in the future. In this way the writings serve as a warning and a guide for future generations.
No. "The prophets" did not write the bible.

The Romans knew this and recognized some of the major players as their own so they rewrote it to benefit themselves.
The Bible? No. the Romans did not rewrite the Bible. There is not evidence that the Romans rewrote any of the Old Testament.
As to the New Testament... "the Romans" under Constantine complied what we now call the New Testament. They didn't actually write it. They chose the books that they wanted and rejected the books they didn't want.

Because of the perspective and the rewrites inconsistencies and contradictions arise to those who study it.
There are inconsistencies and contradictions, but not because of the Romans.

These can be explained by observing current events...
Nope.

It should be noted there is still a concerted effort to rewrite the bible, in particular the NIV (New Improved Verstion), or the "I Know We Can Make This Thing Make Us Look Good" Version.
A more accurate way to put that is there are and have been continuing efforts to go back to the original source text and make the translations more accurate.
However, if you actually read multiple versions of the bible you will find that the translations are actually very consistent with each other. The changes have had very little impact on the over all book.
Of course, you would have to read and study the bible to honestly be able to speak to what it does or does not say, as well as to its meaning.
