My French is adequate but tends to be somewhat colloquial rather than grammatical because the person I speak most with in French is a friend who obviously uses her language in much the same way that we use English.... mixed with local idioms, slang and regional jargon.
I've gotten rather used to saying, say "les flics" instead of "the police" or "etre venere" for angry as a variant of "enerve". When speaking in French, accent is important and in spoken French, "etre venere" does translate as "angry" or "annoyed".
Literally though, "Venere" means "to be revered".

J´aimerais savoir plus de la situation en Francia sur la nouvelle loi que se semble Big Brother du livre 1984. Je ne suis pas que je comprende bien la notion. Qu´est-ce que veux dire ?
