We all know hobby lobby is so strong in their beliefs that they will not provide medical treatment for their employees that the owners believe are tied with abortion (not like scientific evidence or standards but their beliefs) and this was upheld as "allowable" by the Supreme Court.
So what happens when employers that offer insurance have super strong beliefs that any research from stem cells from aborted fetus, are evil and drugs that originate from them can't be included on their plans?
That would mean people would be denied Regeneron (assuming it continues to show improvement and it is the supposed "miracle cure".) While the cells were not from a current abortion, the research originated from cells that were and that technicality is the same kind of technicality hobby lobby used to deny certain types of the pill as abortive. Even if you need those pills for hormonal reasons to be able to function in society. Not because you can't keep tripping and falling on the d***....which is a whole 'nother rant I probably shouldn't get into.
Where do you really draw the line, it's easy when talking about abortion and birth control, then we can blame the people involved for not taking responsibilities for their "bad" choices, we can judge them, and say they deserve the consequences.
Is it the same in a global pandemic? Do people that have refused to mask up deserve it, because they could have prevented exposure? Do essential workers deserve it because they could have picked different jobs? People that have protest stay at home orders or think it's a democratic hoax or done any other sort of irresponsible activity in the past 6 months in the course of surviving?
