With the GOP continuing their campaign of voter suppression, it's looking pretty grim again.

Since the days of Woodward and Berstein, we've had the apparatus in place to catch Republicans in the act. Even with the bias of Fox News, it won't be enough to cover up an actual scandal of GOP-led manipulation of the election--especially if the president wins a second term.

By the time you figure out the Trump is a lying piece of s***, you will be (assuming your "faith" is "real" ) roting in hell.

Please don't take insult...It was not meant to be insulting as I don't believe in your hell, so that statement of mine was not an insult, but rather an "academic" argument.

Carry on in your worship of his holiness Lord Cadet Bone Spurs.

Trump got an award!
The Ig Nobel award for Medical Education!

US President Donald Trump, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Brazilian leader Jair Bolsonaro won the "Medical Education Award," along with a handful of other world leaders, for using the pandemic to teach the world that "politicians can have a more immediate effect on life and death than scientists and doctors can" -- a not-so-subtle dig at those politicians' handling of the coronavirus crisis.

Another Trump appointee is leaving, although this one may just be temporary. Michael Caputo, spokesperson for the US Health and Human Services is taking a 60 day leave of absence for mental health reasons. He went on a rant about violent insurrection and accused scientists on his staff of sedition. Here's a Blog Post on the topic.

Mitch had better not display such blatant hypocrisy.

Unless he wants the GOP to get run out of town Nov. 2.

Mitch isn't thinking clearly. The BLM rioters have targeted his house and family.

Who knows what he'll do.

Mitch has a singular game plan these days - it’s all about the courts, and has been for the majority of the past decade. From his blocking of Obama nominees, to his refusal to consider Merrick Garland, to his removal of the filibuster on SCOTUS nominees, to his record breaking speed of lower court appointments. I would not be surprised at all if he rams this one in, his last hurrah before all goes to hell for him and the GOP, and ensuring a conservative high court majority for the next generation or so before any of it can be rectified.

Trump, if truly selfish, though, can actually prevent this if he wants to win HIS election. He can simply state to the American people that he will honor the precedent set on Merrick, gaining some respect among independents, and, most importantly, tell the conservative-leaning voters that they will need to get out en masse and vote for him to ensure that the Notorious RBG’s replacement will be a conservative - spurring his conservative base to disregard the pandemic and swarm to the polls.

But he isn’t that smart. And Mitch wouldn’t have it - he cares more about the courts than Trump, the whole reason he was complicit with his train wreck presidency.

Yes. Mitch knows what to do, but he won't.

He is not going to wait until after the election, he is going to try to push a new SCJ through as fast a possible.

The only good news is that, for anyone paying attention, Mitch will prove that the GOP are the ultimate hypocrits.

Of course that won't matter, they ramrod the next justice through as fast as possible, and people like you will praise Mitch for it.

So let’s see, there are a few that may go against Mitch and his shenanigans though. Romney, Collins, maybe Murkowski. We would need one other, as Pence is undoubtedly ejaculating over this.

Our only hope.

Not Collins. She is an empty suite.

Not Murkowski. Not as spineless as Collins, but she is up for re-election in 2022. She won't risk going agains the party line.

It seem odd (to me) that Romney is the only one with any integrity.

Moscow Mitch:

"President Trump's nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate," McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, said in a statement Friday.

The f*** wad couldn't even wait until tomorrow morning.
