Yeah, but eventually you will want an equal for a confidant and get tired of playing parent to everyone.

To elaborate I can choose to love a tramp who I know will run off the moment someone else starts laying out a larger bowl of cat chow and I can choose to understand and hope their best but I'm not a zookeeper and only a zookeeper; I eventually need the companionship of those who know fidelity; understand concepts like 'For better or worse.'

I detected no arrogance. I was on the "see no one as above you, or below you, or as your equal" trajectory of the Buddha. The "no position" of Madhyamika, the no sticking points of the sage, the "let go of what is before, let go of what is behind, let go the middle" angle of the Udana. These are all pointers towards enlightenment, or, more likely in my own case, the onset of dementia.

The ride is as long as you want it to be, the journey itself is home......I could waffle on all day.
