Just some thoughts from AFKAB (Americans formerly known as black).

ABL is an interesting unit. I like this dude. In this video he discusses a few things, including how the most racist remarks he ever gets are from other black people and white liberals, and why the Democrats need to do more than just pander to black people in the lead up to an election.

Former cop Tatum talking about all the killing happening in the black community. He asks why Trump is not intervening.

David Dorn's sister speaks about her brother.

Dan Bongino is a great dude. He speaks here about how BLM do not care about black people - mentions the opposition to letting black people choose to send their kids to a better school. He also shows a BLM leader claiming to be a Marxist.

This is a video talking to a young black man who is helping rebuild black communities after all the devastation caused by the peaceful protests.

"Dan Bongino is a great dude"?

Why judge?

BLM is an organisation, millions act under its banner. None of them actually care about black people?

Then you appear to approve of someone putting down "white liberals" - another soundbite.

Here is someone on racism:-

"The problem is that white people see racism as conscious hate, when racism is bigger than that. Racism is a complex system of social and political levers and pulleys set up generations ago to continue working on the behalf of whites at other people’s expense, whether whites know/like it or not. Racism is an insidious cultural disease. It is so insidious that it doesn’t care if you are a white person who likes black people; it’s still going to find a way to infect how you deal with people who don’t look like you. Yes, racism looks like hate, but hate is just one manifestation. Privilege is another. Access is another. Ignorance is another. Apathy is another. And so on. So while I agree with people who say no one is born racist, it remains a powerful system that we’re immediately born into. It’s like being born into air: you take it in as soon as you breathe. It’s not a cold that you can get over. There is no anti-racist certification class. It’s a set of socioeconomic traps and cultural values that are fired up every time we interact with the world. It is a thing you have to keep scooping out of the boat of your life to keep from drowning in it. I know it’s hard work, but it’s the price you pay for owning everything.”

Does anyone here want to know whether or not the writer of these words is a "white liberal" or a member of BLM before passing judgement?

Me, yes, our black community can be racist - in the sense above - as well as the white. Apart from that I see where the guy is coming from.

Not me. The colour of the speaker expressing an idea is largely irrelevant (unless speaking solely of what it is like to be "X" - but this is only of anecdotal value anyway).

As to saying "X" person is "great" - I like some people more than others. This is fairly normal for humans.

A very good point above. I'd go a bit further and argue that for some, racism IS a choice.

While it is impossible to avoid the constant drip-drip-drip of racist promotion that exists in an open society, it is possible to think about it and come to conclusions that lead you to reject it.

Education helps. Some people may have succumbed to the "cultural disease" (good title) without realising it and, having become indoctrinated, find it difficult to challenge a set of beliefs and attitudes that has become ingrained in them.

Education is not "indoctrination" in this case in that it doesn't subscribe to a doctrine, it challenges one. Education is a form of liberation. The pupil is subjected to an alternative point of view and encouraged to make up their own mind. We would hope that, once informed, they choose to adopt an enlightened way of life in the future.

Unfortunately, there are some who will reject all attempts to help them and that is the point where racism becomes a choice. They have had both sides presented to them, they can no longer claim ignorance of the existence of an alternative and they have chosen the path of hate.

They can't, therefore, complain if they carry out acts of hate and find themselves on the wrong end of laws designed to protect people from such discrimination and offence.

Worse than that though, is not only to choose to be racist, but to attempt to defend it and by doing so, contributing to the "insidious cultural disease".

So...... I think it is reasonable to ask the question: What do YOU choose....?

100% agree with this bit (which I realise is not your entire point. This is not an attempt to misconstrue your words, only to show the bit where we agree). I think if people are stupid enough to hate someone based on their identity (be it race, gender or any other thing), they should be free to do so. I think they should even be allowed to express their hate (despite the fact that I think it makes them an asshat). However, if they incite others to commit acts of violence or engage in acts of violence themselves, they should absolutely be punished for it.

I am not sure we can make people not hate, sadly. However, we can certainly punish those who act on that hate.

I will explain why I think we should let people express their hate. Without going into excessive detail I do a lot of things and one of them is talk to people who are going down dark paths like ethnonationlism and similar anti-freedom ideas. I listen to what they say and look for what is motivating them to say it. I encourage them to speak. Why? Because the more I know of their opinion, the more angles I can come from to rebut it.

It is not pleasant to let people spew their bad ideas, but it is better that we let them and rebut it than stop them and let them fester and find other like minds in even darker places.

This dude is seriously funny.
This is a list of things that should banned because they remind him of slavery. Cotton, horses, whips, bandanas, hay, white sheets, boats, chains hahaha.

Dude be funny. Although he does want to get rid of bacon and that is not acceptable

Patricia d***son discussing systemic racism.

This was Candace Owens being subject to racism in real time and pushing back hilariously. It goes without saying the racists were white and liberal, and those who gave her a chance to respond were not.

This is Ted Lieu, another racist Democrat, doing what racists do. And once again, a Republican lets Candace Owens respond. If you watch this video, notice the fact clown Jerry Nadless (sic) completely dismisses what Candace says and is not even listening, but objects to something he thinks she said before dismissing her again. And the look on Lieu's face as he is exposed for a lying, racist fraud is just gold.

This is Candace speaking of her grandfather who seems like a genuinely great guy (sorry Tariki some people are worthy of plaudits in my honest opinion)

I have to apologise for being a bit of a leech. I tend to read another post, or listen to another person and in reading or listening I just seem to absorb rather than judge. Then I just seek to take what I need and leave the rest.

Others are free to judge if this is good or bad or whatever. I'm just trying to explain and understand myself.

For me, many deal in soundbites. "White Liberals", "Leftist loonies", "Rabid Rightists".....and it gets down to "Muslims" and "Chistians" and "Buddhists". All "good" or "bad" according to our own hard little nugget of self-hood that we identify with as "ourselves".

I can see some justification for this - a few labels can help the mind along its trajectory, towards whatever we suppose any end may be.

Dealing with people in the concrete, face to face, is another matter. I have friends and acquaintances and just picking out a few memories of recent meetings and words that have issued from their lips......" typical blackie", "too many blackies", dismay at the possibility of a Muslim Social Club opening nearby (this after years of trouble with late night revellers when the place was a bar), one demure lady, Church of England, telling me that she was reluctant to use a certain fish shop as it was owned by a "foreigner".......and then there are "French fishermen" and so on. These are good friends. I smile and keep the peace. As I say, I love the quiet life - but again, each of my friends is not a label, they are each so much more than anything I could ever judge them to be.

We all need mercy.

The move for black equality and civil rights for blacks has been hijacked by Marxists whose goal is to destroy civil society. BLM is not a continuation of Dr Martin Luther King.

BLM seems as far from MLK as one could get. The organisation seems to be a fraud whipping up race hate and getting paid handsomely for doing so (and giving quite a lot of money to the DNC).

Vincent Adejumo: Where Are All The African American Leaders

I've copied and pasted this article from the Houston Chronicle. Not that I read that publication of course, but it was also printed in The New European on 11 June. Pretty thoughtful stuff.

I don't know about Marxists hijacking the cause over there. That's for you guys to sort out. In UK, the hard left are involved, but only inasmuch as they latch on to every anti-Tory cause. They're just hangers-on. They certainly haven't taken control of the BLM protests here.

If they had, it would all have been far well less organised.

Adejumo makes a very good correlation between the Civil Rights protests of the 1960's and the BLM campaign today. Who IS leading the cause in US today..? I don't know.

Do you..?

Definite goodies and baddies over there in the USA, with sincerity and legitimate concern very unevenly distributed between political parties and what could be called ideologies.
