The thing that is so sad is that before this bulls*** started TFS used to be fun. We actually all got along reasonably well, but then suddenly I became a Nazi because I do not care about race.

This was supposed to be a thread where we got along and hopefully saw a few old faces, and it turned into this same old s***.

Glad to hear you and your family are doing well.

Sorry about this. We have reached a point where opposing political views can no longer be talked about. It worries me, but it is what it is.

If you can move these last few posts to the Trump thread that would be fine. If you want to delete them that's fine too.

I think my time here is rapidly ending.

If a woman walks the street in a skirt she deserves to be attacked.

It was all her fault. She wanted to eat a meal at a restaurant, but she is a black person and Progressives don't like people like her so she had it coming. It is up to her to run away because progressives are incapable of acting like civilised human beings.

I am not sure that is what you meant, but that is what you said.

both sides encouraged each others, didn't mater to me, she was black or white. she was going brother by them, because she was black. she should got up , said nothing, and left the restaurant. not surprise, if the cops were holding back laughing about the whole experience.

The technology to move posts does not exist here.
Frankly, I’d rather not delete. Then the narrative gets out I’m censoring speech. I’m sick and f***ing tired of that narrative.

I own my words and actions. Others can do the same.

Fair enough. I have no problem with anything I said. I just thought it would be nice to have a thread that does not go down the same path.

Anyway, it is what it is.

Yes, times have been challenging, but I’m lucky enough to be able to do almost all my work from home. So part of it has been nice. When we are able to open back up, I’ll probably be able to stay home at least part of the week. I’m one of the few that can be more productive at home. Less interruptions, or I should say our patrons are asking questions on a more triaged basis, so I still get all the tough ones, but in way that I can work through them efficiently.

Yeah, so I just chatted with a co-worker on the other side of the pond and said it's getting up to 26c !!

... GMAB - That's only 78F.

We've already been in the 90's (32c) this year in the northern tier states, and probably will be seeing it a few more times.

I think the hottest temperature I have ever experienced was about 48c (around 118F). That was seriously brutal heat with a dry, hot wind. Just breathing in was enough to cause severe dehydration. 32c is pretty standard for summer in this part of Aus.

Yikes!

The hottest I endured was 104F - an all-time record high for the area, when I was working at U-Haul (residential moving truck rental).
The work area was all windows - like a big fishbowl - and our AC broke down

.. of course it's all relative to what you're used to, and conditioned for.

I think my highest was Vegas when it was about 115. It’s a dry heat though.

I can deal with 100 if it’s dessert. Which is typical where I’m at.
If it’s humid, f*** that s***. At 80ish most of the Midwest is miserable to me.

And Florida has always been sticky. Even in the wintertime.

Humidity sucks. A couple of years ago I had to travel for work and ended up in a tropical hell hole for a few days. Over the course of my first 48 hours I lost something like 3-4kgs (7-9 pounds) and had a constant blistering headache. I'd almost rather an arctic blizzard than endure that again.
