I was sure this was a BS story, so I watched the video on a four different news sites.

At least one blurred out what appeared to be a fair amount of blood coming form the back of this old guy's head as he lay on the ground.

These 57 police officers are dumber than s*** to resign over something like this.... pretty much gave up their law enforcement careers... no chance of collecting unemployment... likely anything they put into their law enforcement retirement plans just got pissed down the toilet.

Clearly these 57 police officers weren't cut out for the job emotionally nor intellectually.

If I were their boss, I would be thinking, " good riddance to bad rubbish."

I guess the "good news" is that they decided to pick on an old white guy for a change.

it seems like they only resigned from the tactical team.

because the city refused to be take blanket responsibility for their actions on duty and agreed to hold them individually responsible for their actions.

I think they are still cops and technically getting paid. Though I would be good riddance to bad rubbish" also.

Also it appears that the old white dude approached the cops to give them back a helmet they dropped and they shoved him out of the way, and quite possibly could have killed him. He is stable, but still in very serious condition.

There is a police problem in this country, its not just a black and white issue, it's just more apparent with black victims because they appear "scarier" due to a history of biases.

Oh... got is... they are a bunch of cowards that want absolutions from acting like f***ing asstard jackbooted thugs that don't have to follow rules, policy, procedure and the law.

In that case, if I was their boss they would all get the lowest performance rating that I could legally give them (I would talk to the HR department to make sure I did it right), and as far as working for me goes their careers would for all practical purposes be ended... they would all get parking ticket duty for the rest of their careers if I had the authority.

No, this will be forgotten and they will go work in another jurisdiction, or another employer.

You could be right.

It was, apparently, an inept cop that shuffled from city to city that ended up killing Tamir Rice. (Cleveland, 2014, 12 yr old playing with a toy gun in a park - granted there were other extenuating circumstances...but still...)

.... kind of like priests and doctors .... probably lawyers too

I've already told you that COVID-19 is a conspiracy hatched by the deep state in concert with Donald "Jesus Christ" Trump to take over the world by repressing Hong Kong.

What don't you get?

As we start loosening up on the COVID restrictions the Miami Herald reports the new record of new infections reported in one day. 1900 new cases. Is it too early to let people out of their cages? Can they not wear their masks and practice social distancing on their own recognizance?

Should they? Would it be better for us to just allow this pandemic to pass through society at it's natural rate like in the previous SARS epidemics? Rather than screw the economy should we just get it over with? Should we focus on isolating elderly care facilities and protecting those with pre existing sicknesses and the rest of us just deal with it?

No.
and I don't believe SARS was allowed to "spread naturally"

It's avoiding the spike that will overwhelm the healthcare system that has been the point of flattening the curve.

Further breakdown of the healthcare system will result in higher death rates because of lack of available care.

Also, if we can push off the infection, there will be better treatments learned/known, and possibly a vaccine.

To let it just burn like wildfire through the population is asinine.

I kinda think so too but I actually got the Avian flu back in the day and there were no restrictions like are in place now. What I don't get is why, if everyone has quarantined, the disease hasn't run it's course and died out. If the people who had it didn't pass it on one would think it would be over. What I also don't get is why so many people in elderly care facilities died. Why did they get it at all? I know if I was employed at one I would be extra careful not to bring it to work.

There were not enough tests, PPE use, or proper lockdown procedures put in place to stop anything in most nursing homes.

Anyone who things differently has obviously not spent enough time in one, either as a worker, patient, family member or other advocate.

Also, the general public has not been wearing masks since Memorial Day. Cases are spiking.
Too f***ing bad now. What has be done is done.
We get to live with the consequences.

i was in grocery store today, most people wear masks like me. a couple of black people didn't wear masks. i have see that white people under 30's, about almost ten, who really didn't care about no wearing masks.

it is now, more attitude against that fact, they must wear a mask. people are not wearing , it like showing a badge of courage to everybody. that makes no sense at all!

blacks who have seen in the protesting photos, who are not wearing a masks. i get it as show as pride than stupidity.
