I am six feet tall. A baby of a healthy size is 30 cm, which means I am in fact five feet taller. However, the greater mass gives me the impression that I stand from between 30-35 taller and four times wider.

Taking that into account, what is the actual size difference in height and volume between a baby and an adult of my height?

you got, at least 15 years from now, before the baby will over 5 feet. so, if the baby is male, you have worry that his shoe's size is bigger than yours then.

No, that would be a preemie size.
A "Standard size", if you will, is about 21"

10 lbs is towards the larger size.

Not quite sure of your question anyways.

Technically a baby is on average 30 cm big or a foot big. I'm six feet tall, so there is mathematically speaking a five foot difference in height between us, but from my point of view, if you stand the baby up, I seem to tower over him at well over double his height. Mass and size combine to make us astronomically different in size. Are you saying in that respect I am twenty one feet bigger than a baby?

Google "Baby Size Chart"
Babies are not 12"

Lets take a 3 month old for simple math:
24" (2 ft) and 10 lbs

A man could be 6 ft and 180 lbs

3:1 in height, 18:1 in weight

But we're not taking into account length and width (when standing)

We'll assume the Physiological density would be the constant.

So if the Area were the same a man 3x taller than a baby would be 30 lbs
But since we know he is not, with a constant density and defined weight at 18x

A man would have an "area" 6x bigger than a baby

I think you're applying raw physics to a biological process. The two are not mutually conducive. There are many variables involved in human development which need to be considered.

Physical growth is all about increase in body size (length or height and weight) and in the size of organs. Between age 1 - 2, children grow rapidly. Then growth slows. As it slows, children need fewer calories and a decrease in appetite may be noticed. Children aged 2 can have erratic eating habits that can make parents anxious. Some children may eat virtually nothing yet continue to grow and thrive. Actually, they usually eat little one day and then make up for it by eating more the next day. This is normal.

During preschool and early school years, growth in height and weight is steady. Children tend to grow a similar amount each year until the next major growth spurt occurs in early adolescence.

Different organs grow at different rates. EG: Reproductive system has a brief growth spurt just after birth, then changes very little until just before puberty. In contrast, the brain grows almost exclusively during the early years of life. Kidneys function at the adult level by the end of the first year.

When children learn to walk they have an endearing physique, with the belly sticking forward and the back curved. They may also appear to be quite bow-legged. By age 3, muscle tone increases and the proportion of body fat decreases, so the body begins to look leaner and more muscular. Most children have bladder and bowel control by this time.

Children who are too young to stand are measured lying down on a measuring device called a Stadiometer. Height in children who can stand is measured using a vertical measuring scale. In general, length in normal-term infants increases about 30% by age 5 months and more than 50% by age 12 months. Infants typically grow about 25 centimetres during the first year, and height at 5 years is about double the birth length.

There are more aspects that could be taken into consideration. I've just highlighted a couple.

If you're going to attempt to write the equation for human growth development I wish you the best of luck.

Do you take core samples or just cut them open to count the rings for their age?
