I totally agree, especially under these circumstances.

It brings up a good point though - Right to privacy, and right to know.

I think it clearly is Right to Know - beyond the limits of just the contact tracing. Names don't have to be disclosed, just information that "someone" within the walls tested positive, and ensure that the contact tracing has been completed and communicated to the appropriate people.

If we were back to work, I would want to know if someone in the building tested positive. I don't have to know who.
I probably don't need to know if someone working for the same company in a different building has tested positive ... I think.

Yeah, I don’t need to know which coworker tested positive. Just that one of them did and where and when they were in common areas and what they touched.

My exposure was via potentially contaminated equipment. I did wipe it down as soon as I brought it in my house, but still I appreciated knowing the potential was there. The person that brought it was also told to quarantine for second hand exposure. Of course we didn’t know until the day after I had the equipment, but email and text went out immediately. And anyone still on site was sent home and we shu the f*** down for the day. Game over. We were scheduled to go on lockdown the next day anyway, so we had a really small crew trying to get as much transferred remotely as fast as possible

(No one else was infected luckily)

Wow! That rubber room must have very elastic walls - you're bouncing all over the place .. and I'm surprised it took you almost half a post to get to Hillary!!

Well, let's look at what we know to be true (or should know anyway):

Somebody who was probably not a Russian breached the security of the DNC (there is no way to know it was Russians because the DNC refused to let the FBI investigate the so called hack).

A guy who probably has links to western intelligence agencies (Mifsud), approached Papadopolous of the Trump campaign, and told him about it after the event, then set up a meeting between him and Australian Diplomat Alexander Downer. Papadopolous told Downer what he had heard, and Downer told the US embassy, which was the laughable pretext for tapping him.

Carter Page was also being tapped based on evidence doctored by the FBI, even though he worked for the CIA (there was another guy in Trump's team linked to the CIA as well).

Hillary Clinton paid Steele who went to Russian government sources for drivel on Trump that no one ever thought was credible (except for Rachel Madcow, of course, but that worthless s***smear doesn't count).

Despite the contents of the dossier being so retarded retards called it retarded, the FBI lied about its validity, lied about its provenance, leaked some contents to the media and then lied about the origin of the media story to claim this as a second, unrelated, corroborating source to illegally obtain FISA warrants.

Comey went to Trump to tell him about this absurd dossier everyone knew was bulls***, but leaked it to the media first to help build momentum for an investigation that was unnecessary and predicated on illegal spying and a series of lies told in the media.

Flynn took a call with Kislyak that was normal, reasonable, not illegal and broke absolutely no law (it didn't even break protocol). Comey publicly bragged about sending FBI investigators to talk to Flynn under false pretenses, not telling him that he was being investigated (in fact they told him he did not even need to bother about having a lawyer present), and Flynn had no reason to believe he was under investigation because normally to be investigated one needs to commit a crime of some sort or at least be suspected of having done so - that was not true in the Flynn case.

According to the FBI agents that spoke to Flynn he did not lie, but he did get some facts wrong about a perfectly legal phone call that had happened weeks earlier, that the FBI had a transcript of but didn't tell him about, and that was not in any way illegal.

Obama was instrumental in the attack on Flynn, and Sally Yates is on record saying she found out about the attempt to take down Flynn when Obama was discussing using the Logan Act to go after him for, again, committing no crime at all.

Several people linked to Obama asked for Flynn's name to be unmasked, and at least one person close to Obama leaked his name to the media. The FBI threatened him that if he did not plead guilty to not committing a crime they would go after his son.

Guys like Clapper and Brennan went into the media incessantly (especially after the Helsinki meeting that they also repeatedly lied about in collusion with the media) and claimed, based on those lies (and hinting at information from the dossier of lies), that Trump was compromised by the Russians. Meanwhile, that whole time Brennan was hiding information pointing to what was obvious - Putin backed Hillary, not Trump.

Every single one of the Obama or anti Trump spastics when questioned under oath behind closed doors ALL said they had seen no evidence that Trump or anyone linked to Trump was or had colluded, conspired or coordinated with the Russians, nor had anyone from Trump's team even tried to do so.

And even the best intelligence these muppets had said that (a) The Trump team knew nothing about a so called hack of DNC emails until approached by Mifsud after the event, and (b) Putin backed Hillary.

But nah, Obamagate is not a thing. Falsely convicting members of an incoming administration, illegally spying on them by lying to courts and the media, and lying to the media for years about how there is evidence the President is colluding with an enemy happens all the time.

It is a shame Trump wouldn't do that to Biden. How hilarious would that be - watching Biden shart again as he realised even more of his corruption was being laid bare... The rapid about turn on FISA abuses by the media may legitimately cause some of them to die from whiplash too, which could only be a good thing.

What are your thoughts on the phone calls leaked by the Ukrainian government that show Quid Pro Joe is as guilty as one can be of the crime Trump was impeached for not being guilty of? I thought it was hilarious.

There is nothing wrong with an investigation.

But are a you suggesting that some people get denied medical care because they have a virus *and* other health conditions?

Like some people just go to nursing homes when they get short term sick, but need that level of care. Going into a nursing home while temporarily sick (even if it’s contagious) is kind of normal—there are just isolation procedures to follow, which would be more on staffing failure than the governor. Some nursing homes suck, I have a whole national company my husband will go in over my cold dead body. And yes a few of them have coronavirus outbreaks, but that’s a wide spread problem not isolated to places with Democratic governors. It’s also gives a whole new level of responsibility for the buck stops here. -again not opposed to investigation, the medical system needs it. It just seems odd like I’m missing something or something is lost in the translation between country structures.

Am I missing something significant?

I am not sure how your system operates, but in Australia if a state leader forced nursing homes to take people into those homes who were bound to cause others to die they would be in serious trouble, as they should be. But then Cuomo should be done anyway. Courtesy of a report that explicitly stated their health care system was woefully ill prepared and under resourced, he knew for a couple of years at least that his ineptitude was going to cause deaths.

Watching Cuomo say that he did nothing because Trump (which is fundamentally what he did as he squealed about all the things he didn't have), was sad. But the media letting him is even sadder.

It must be infuriating that your media love seeing your own people die so they can blame the bad orange man.

How funny was it when Biden told black people they are worthless and basically not human if they do not vote for the party that wants their kids aborted or growing up in fatherless homes?

This was more a response to your assertion that it is ok to illegally spy on a political campaign if you don't like the guy. As is the way with TFS (or TDS as I tend to think of it these days), sometimes conversation drifts.

I asked you at what point did you realise that breaking the law was ok, and you tried in some bizarre and Orwellian way to say Trump is guilty of Obama breaking the law. That struck me as odd.

@mrmhead Said

That realization came to me over the course of the past 3 years that that is the position of the trumpsterf*** minions.

Personally, I prefer integrity.

There are many words one can use to describe what has happened in US politics in recent years from those opposed to Trump. One word that can not be used however, is "integrity."

Surely you are not going to pretend to believe that Biden gives a s*** about any of those lying dog faced pony soldiers from the working class, let alone those black people the DNC have turned into a reliable voter block by making them dependent on government welfare for their lives of poverty and misery? Not even I will accept that from you.

So you routinely deny people that may be contagious medical care? Isn’t that the point of PPE and proper medical procedures?

Like that seems exceptionally cruel, like the total f*** you to medically vulnerable.

Like what the f*** do you think a nursing home is? There are sick and contagious people in there all the time. That’s basically why they are not off living their lives at “home”. They need nursing care.... so they are in a facility that has nurses and provides it.

You can’t just deny treatment to people in a pandemic. I mean they are trying to move people around and group them together to minimize risk and contamination, but it’s a very large country. Moving a person from a city to another can take hours they may not be able to make the move feasible, quarantining in place is the only option. Moving will kill them.

Bob, I’m pretty familiar with the nursing home system in this country. And the s*** ton of paperwork and policy. Like
I said my husband ends up In the system for 2-5 months at a time every year or two. Several of my friends are either ombudsmen or work in the field.

I’m not saying it’s perfect or doesn’t have problems, most government and private programs do. But what your are going on about doesn’t even make sense.

Like something is lost in translation or you’re literally repeating crazy conspiracy theories that have basis in reality.

ETA: because of the Strain of bacteria he gets he’s always under high level of isolation precautions. To avoid infection of other residents. Usually means he gets a private room. Which is nice avoiding s***y roommates, but if two people have the same “infection” they are allowed to room together. To help coordinate nursing staff. His bacteria is just rare we only matched up with a roommate once or twice. Covid is Way more common than his typical problem

Oh I would not be allowed to visit him in a covid situation. I can visit in a normal situation since I’m not susceptible to his bacteria but I can’t visit other patients unless I mask and gown up. (I don’t know them so just as well). But still, if I hang out in common areas I’m supposed to take normal safety precautions to keep from transmitting his cooties to the other patients and they wipe down everything after physical or occupational therapy, or dining rooms. He generally doesn’t like to eat in the dining room, but still it would be procedure if he did.

Oh, and not only that because of my husband’s specific diagnosis, it’s federal law and oversight that needs approval before he can be transferred in or out of a facility. Someone f***ing up that paperwork has kept us trapped in a hospital more than once. It’s never been a state problem. It’s a *federal* law. Meaning if it was a case of the buck stops here for responsibility, it would not be with the governor’s office that needs investigated.

Like we were packed and ready to go, and the case worker forgot to submit the right form to the department of health. The ambulance company for transportation refused the transfer and the nursing home couldn’t legally accept without federal approval. Sucks because it was 5:05 on a Friday when the hospital floors figured that out and the health department stops accepting/ approving faxes at 4:45 on Friday. So we had to wait until Tuesday to officially transfer (Holiday weekend, of course).

The other day DeWine said he would be calling up the national guard to help test patients and staff at nursing homes in Ohio.

There will be a protocol as to who gets tested, because contrary to some administration's promise, not everybody can be tested at this time.

I forget the details, but again, at least he's doing something.

I don't disagree that Cuomo started to sound a little whiny...but he did have a s***storm on his hands.
