So apparent they are storming the capital in Michigan and they had their own operation gridlock a week or so ago. I think Minnesota is planning an operation gridlock this week.

So as far as a protest movement goes it has about as much direction, message, and organizion as occupy Wall Street.

Apparently, it’s a bunch of people without job that need haircuts, the same as occupy Wall Street. They only difference is gridlock is bringing their trucks and guns instead of bikes and tents.

I don’t understand exactly what they are/were protesting other than being spoiled little brats and wanting people give them things/serve them because they feel entitled.

The OWS felt entitled for the wealth the 1% earned. The operation gridlock folk want to go get haircuts and go on vacation and basically have other people cater to thier whims so they aren’t bored.

Like I get some of the OWS arguments about regulation of big banks and stuff like that, but they lacked a message.
Operation gridlock may have a point in freedom over their body and freedom to live or die but all their things they want to do really involves other people “getting back to work” to serve them. It not just them getting back to normal, it’s forcing others who may be at risk to “get back to normal” in a global pandemic. You have the right to swing your fists, but not to hit someone else’s face. I hear the arguments about “small businesses” but for the most part small businesses aren’t actually out protesting they are hustling where they can to pivot their business to stay afloat.

It’s not like it’s a bunch of hairstylists, wait staff and bartenders begging to bring people food. It’s guys with guns yelling at cops and Karen’s with hair that hasn’t been dyed since October, yelling for a manager.

I appreciate a good protest. And whether or not you agree with the message, black lives matter , anti-abortion protests, and the pipelines at standing rock had clear messages, organizations, and some actionable outcomes.

in st. louis, more groups are protest by anything these days. i think protestors need to know this time, it's deadly virus is the main reason. politics is other, mainly money is the biggest issue. unemployment because of lack of jobs. it is a snowjob that america took for grant that there been always been jobs out there since 20's.

the government is doing what they normal do keep their heads under the ground. they hope the nuclear fallout will clear, so they stop hiding. recessions and depression had been around us, since reagan. it took a little virus to cripple america.

As a "Southerner" I get a kick our of people from the north (aka yankees) pretending like the confederate flag has some significance to their pathetic lives.

I guess I am "treasonous" because I think the jackasses can keep that stupid flag.

And bringing guns to their demonstration to be able to go back to jobs they probably don't have...

Any excuse to pretend like the 2nd Amendment is under attack.... COVID-19 is running scared now...

Ugh. I didn’t even want to get into the stupidness of trying to fly a traitors flag in Michigan, Michigan used to have a long history of telling southern confederates to not always so politely go f*** themselves.

So either these “protesters” like ows, are being bussed in from other states,

I think I might tangentially know someone who thinks they are all the freedom fighters now. They have gotten pretty quiet once the protests got news coverage, I don’t know if they actually went to operation gridlock in Lansing, I just saw a lot of the “plans”

Like I said, I do appreciate a good protest. It’s an important American right. Also, if I personally think your reasons are are stupid I’m going to make fun of you, because I’m sarcastic like that, and also that is my right as an American.

I have a friend who used to laugh about the song (Charlie Daniels?) "... the south is going to do it again..."

He would laugh and say, "What!? They're going to lose again!?"

And now the southern loser war flag is some symbolic thing to be proud of... by under educated non-southern white racist idiot jackasses who thing caring guns is going to stop a virus....

They need businesses open so they have somewhere to spend their 115% unemployment checks ...
