Of course we've already had that scenario; 2016-2018.

It doesn't make that big of a difference over all.

The real issue (from a Democrat/Liberal perspective) is Trump President-Republican Senate, which would likely result in at least one more conservative Supreme Court Justice, and possibly two.

That has always been the real GOP agenda.

Thanks for making my nightmare scenario even worse.

Ok... side note... just for the “record”... I know I give a lot of s***, but I like you... you crack me up... and not always because I disagree... you do make some valid points and funny statements...

Of course I’m still going to give you s***... it’s what I do... 😎

Bloomberg and Warren have officially dropped out of the race for nomination by the DNC for the office of president. From WTOPNews in DC. Looks like the Dems are down to Sanders and Biden. Of course, even if Sanders doesn't get the nomination he could run as independent. Odds are that would hand Trump a victory. Speaking of the Donald, there doesn't seem to be much competition against him in the Republican Primaries does there? All (goose) stepping in line I guess. Second link is from CNN.

Many states have a "Sore Loser" clause.
If you run in the primary under one flag, you can't run in the general as another.

I can't think of the last time there was a "serious contender" of the same party running against an incumbent president. That seldom happens even at the state levels.

I know a lot of people who like Bernie.

But the reality is that Bernie Sanders is, at best, yet another angry old white man and a complete fake who hurt the Democrats in 2016 and will hurt the Democrats in 2020.

Of course Republican/Conservatives should be thrilled that the DNC is apparently willing to let Sanders undermine them.

Gotta hand it to Bloomberg, he spent a lot of his own money in a bid to take the office from Trump. Over $500 million. Some people are mocking the man but I have to say I respect his dedication. Not many people would put that much of themselves into a campaign like that. Like his politics or not; I think we can say he has heart.

I don’t dislike Bernie. I’m just over his presidential run. He has some good qualities and points but right now he’s hurting more than he’s helping and he and a lot of other people DGAF. It’s not real enough to them, or they’re just exhausted or whatever. They are willing to let it happen.

I know a lot of people who like Bernie as well. It's understandable but in my opinion Socialism is a fools game. A gimmick promising a better quality of life in exchange for loss of freedom. The thing Socialism offers to World Leaders is an opportunity for an oligarchy that cannot be threatened by social/economic mobility.People like philanthropists Bill Gates and Michael Bloomberg. People who can have political influence that aren't a part of the planned ruling clique. Here's an essay on socialism .

That has always been the real GOP agenda.

Yes, it has.
And we've been very successful at it - and that trend will continue.

Also appointments to many, many other judge seats that will actually do a good job of filtering and keeping a lot of communist crap from even reaching the Supreme Court for consideration.
There will be a LOT of appointments in the next five years.
From circuit judges to appeals judges right on up to the Supreme Court.

It's going to be increasingly difficult for the American Socialist Party to mess with the constitution.
And, that is a good thing for the constitution.

The real agenda of the GOP under the direction of the Neo-Cons (whose faction used to Democrats but switched to the Republican party) is socialism . The idea, started by Neo Con founder Irving Krystol was deregulate and screw up the economy so bad as to recreate the economic situation of Post World War I Germany in the US. In this way he hoped people would repeat the past and follow a socialist demagogue to the Fascist and Socialist overthrow of our government. So far that has been unsuccessful.

Sort of. To say the entire GOP are socialists isn't true, mostly they are suckers. They, like most sheeple, follow the leader. Their speech and even thoughts have no originality, simply regurgitated crap memorized from the writing and utterances of their leaders.

The Neo Con faction is so called because they used to be a faction in the Democratic party. The faction was created by Irving Krystol who was a socialist while a university student. The faction changed parties because they felt the Democrats weren't tough enough on Communism.

Irving Kristol and other Neo Con leaders adopted an economic policy that was in place before and during the Great Depression, culminating in the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 2000. This led to the Great Recession of 2008. Also, despite their claims, when a Republican president (with enough clout in congress) is in office we are in deficit spending. At the end of Clinton's and Obama's tenures the country was no longer in deficit spending. Even our current president has managed to get us back into deficit spending, and he isn't (supposed to be) a Neo Con

The point is Krystol knew these policies were crap. They had been proven wrong by FDR and his New Deal that pulled our nation from the Great Depression. The Glass-Steagall Act was a part of that rescue. The funny thing is, even after the 2008 crash that simply reaffirms what economists already knew, right wingers are still holding on to the lassaiz-faire deregulation crap they've been fed by their Neo Con leaders and right wing mouth pieces. It's truly comical.

Further, what no one seems to grasp is this is intentional. The most opportune times for revolution in a nation is a time of economic hardship, eternal war causing social unrest. This is the environment Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Franco and other dictators took advantage of to put themselves and their kind into power. This has been a continuous trend in our politics since the Neo Cons took over the Republican Party. If I want you to go to the left I do so by pushing you as hard as I can to the right.
