i thought it was " pee day ", this day when dogs put their masters on the lease. so their masters can pee on trees and fire hydrants.

I don't need a special day to do that.

Yes... the desire to crush the cell phone with a sledge hammer is real... as is the random desire to hunt down certain jackasses and find a way to make them pay for their jackassery.

But the destruction of one's cell phone is a loss of money,,, and the "pay back" to jackasses runs the very real risk of jail time.

I find things like chopping wood repetitively, but safety, to be very beneficial.

As previously mentioned, my trip to pick up my son included a "Highway Closed - Find Alternate Route Sucker!!"

So I used my smarts and my flip-phone to call my son to ensure the alternate route I remembered from looking at a map intersected the desired highway.

Sometimes NOT depending on a computer-generated voice is beneficial.

One of my professors made a comment concerning counselors becoming attracted to their clients and wanting to/actually sleeping with them. I didn't fully understand it but after hearing a couple of stories about BHTs sleeping with clients and a recent experience I had, I understand exactly what she was saying.

My girlfriend's father has been losing his s*** lately.

Literally every day he has to go out to the grocery store, the hardwire store, the gas station, etc... etc...

It is like he is trying to get infected with COVID-19.

.

Does he have an N95 respirators? Yes.

Is he wearing them when he goes out? No.

Does he have surgical gloves? Yes.

Is he using them? No.

He is 82 years old, with lung damage, diminished immune system... does he admit that? No.

He literally says "I can heal myself".

Etc... etc...

I am literally watching someone who is in the most COVID-19 vulnerable group living in complete denial and risking his life every day... and someone who is putting the rest of us at risk....

That sucks.

My dad is still working, but becuase he's considered "essential" though he has been trying to stay home as much as possible otherwise and careful. I'm still concerned. Everyone I am close to, myself included, is in a high risk group, it's been a sobering look at mortality.

Im not sure my husband is as concerned as I am, as he'll still ask me to go out and get things. Things I dont think are essential and he's being picky about. Like he's a way pickier eater than I am, so I've still done some take out and grubhub, its a compromise because as a diabetic he can't not eat, but still it bugs me a little. I'm trying not get over paranoid about it I did draw the line at only out once a day, and everything has to be drive thru/pick up or no contact delivery. and lots of hand washing and clorox wipes when I come back.

Yesterday... yet another trip out of the house into town.

Girlfriend: Mom why aren't you wearing a mask and gloves.

Mom: I don't like masks.

Dad: You're not going to changer her mind.

Girlfriend: You're not wearing gloves and mask either.

Dad:

......

Me later: If they get sick their going to end up in isolation in a hospital... as in a bed with literally no one visiting them in the (possibly) last days of their lives.

Girlfriend: I know. They are like reckless little children.

Me: f your dad get's COVID-19 and infects me, I going to punch him in the face, he can find out if he can breath through a broken nose... its probably harder than breathing through a mask.

PS
Dad has also being blowing through stop signs, because "no one was there." I won't get in a car with him anymore.

Flash back in time:

Me (to my sons): "During a disaster... hurricane, blizzard, flood... zombie apocalypse... whatever, you two need to get your s*** straight. If you start acting careless or reckless, you are on your own. If it turns out to be the zombie apocalypse, you get the universal punishment; bullet in the brain."

My sons:

Me: "If you think I'm joking, you have a hard life ahead of you... we gets lots of hurricanes in Florida, not the best time to be outside, unprotected, because you lost your s***."

My sons:

Me:

My sons: "You can count on us"

PS
I've always been able to count on them. Two of the best people on planet earth to be around in a crisis.
