Great to who?

Parents need to shut the f*** up... at least sometimes.

Great to those who blindly follow Trump. Support the good and ignore the bad.

To me America is great. While we still have many flaws within our laws and how we treat each other, to me America is great and we haven't lost our greatness. Maybe we have and I am wrong. That's why I disagree with Trump's slogan.

I agree that parents need to be quiet. At least while they are politically blind as the young woman who posted that on social media. What makes it worse is that many agree with her. I don't blame him, but ever since Trump became President, they believe every Republican is pro-Trump and that being a conservative is wrong. I feel that is messed up.

Ignoring the bad is how we will end up with Trump 2024.

Ignoring the bad is how other nations will turn their back on the US until we get a level-headed leader.

Ignoring the bad is how we will end up in another war.

Ignoring the bad is how our grandchildren will have to wear masks when they go out for their chemo treatments ... at least those that can afford it.

Ignoring the bad is like "Hope" as a business plan.

Where else do they "Ignore the bad"?
Russia - Putin
NK - Kim Jong Un
Philippines - Duterte
Turkey - Erdogan
China - Xi Jinping
... to name a few

I don't disagree. Just note: this applies to those who may support any leadership among the Democratic side. Some of those followers act in the same fashion while pointing fingers at the Conservatives who follow President Trump religiously.

But they are not the President of the USA.

We must, IMO, stop making excuses for the a president... any president.. who is a creep... crook... a draft dodger..

Hold the President to the highest standards and the hardest criticism.

When the next one comes... hold that President to the highest standards and the hardest criticism.

Only when they are held fully and critically accountable, with no... NO excuses... will we begin to get "good" Presidents.

Zero tolerance when it comes to the highest office.... Zero Tolerance!

BUT they are political figures in the US and some of them hold positions within the US. Just because they aren't at the highest level doesn't mean they deserve a pass.

Previous presidents held themselves to higher standards and accountability.. for the most part.

Not so with the current POTUS.

And with the GOPer minions - both in the capitol and on the streets - not pushing back, and blindly supporting everything he does, it just gives him more confidence and power to push farther into the realms of a dictatorship.

- I can't think of any other way to describe the direction he is pushing the presidency.
Checks and balances fail when one arm lets him get away with murder.

I agree with that.

In fact, one way to handle the problem is require that members of Congress (H.R. & Senate) follow the same rules as other federal employees... from their pay to legal accountability.

Two example:

1. Don't let Congress dictate their own pay checks. Give the a set schedule like other government employees where their salary is increases with he same % rate as all other employees.

2. Presently if a federal employee does what congressmen do with lobbyists, that federal employee would go to jail for bribery.

Hold them all to the same high standard...

> Federal Employee F's up >>> investigate him/her and if appropriate fire him/her and if appropriate prosecute him her.

> If a Congressman F's up >>> investigate him/her and if appropriate fire him/her and if appropriate prosecute him her.

> If a President F's up >>> investigate him/her and if appropriate fire him/her and if appropriate prosecute him her.

Regardless of political party or anything else.

Oh and Bobbymay... I know this comment of mine is going to make your big girl panties wet from crying...

Why???
I agree with what you wrote and would add even more..

1)..I would extend those rules to Governors and Mayors..

2)All elected law makers including state and federal have to live by the same laws they pass....see obamacare...

3)And all campaign monies left over from elections whether they win or lose must be turn over to the treasury so that every election they all start with zero...

**** edited to fix thread- tiger

It's been two years since Parkland how sad says trump.

But its been almost 43 years since the Manhattan transfer released Birdland and that song just keeps getting better and better.

So there's hope.

President Donald Trump will give the command for drivers to start their engines before the Daytona 500.

As long as he's not waving the green flag. His hair will blow off once the cars get up to speed.

So you are literally making fun of the victims of a mass shooting at a school.

Plus points to you.
