Hi Gakingkong

Perhaps you are quite familiar with John 3:16. It shows the extent of His love for us. He offered up His son so that we might have everlasting life. That is an act of love that is offered for the entire human race, however, the Bible indicates that few will take advantage of it Mat 7:13,14.

The Bible indicates at Pro 21:2 that everyone is righteous in their own eyes. Therefore most of us believe that we are the ones on that narrow road to life. Jesus stated that those who do the will of God, his Father, would be saved Mat 7:21-23. That is a guarantee offered by God's son. At Matthew 24:13 we are told that we must endure to the end to be saved. Therefore those who might be saved if the world ended now, may not be if it ends 10 yrs from now.

I truly appreciate your question and hope that I have been able to help you in answering it. Point blank, yes God loves everyone, but some become His friends James 2:23

A condition of Salvation is found at Romans 10:13. You have to call on God's name. Do you know God's name?

Hi Chaski

I am unaware of the Bible explaining the speed of light sir, sorry. I fully support that you have every right to say what you think. That of course is part of honesty. Remember your relationship with God is personal, no one but yourself can do it. Your everlasting life is dependant upon your own merits.

I appreciate your question

Hello again Chaski

Very good question sir. Rueben of course was Israels (Jacobs) firstborn, which might seem appropriate that the Messiah come through that line. Another line of thinking would be that Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah, and that Joseph might be the logical candidate, who was a favored son by Jacob. God used him extensively in moving His people to Egypt.

The expansion of the Israelites and their divisions get quite extensive, 10 tribes stuck together while the other two seemed to break off from them. The prophecy was clear however on God's choice in whom the Messiah would come through: (Genesis 49:9, 10) Judah is a lion cub. From the prey, my son, you will certainly go up. He has crouched down and stretched himself out like a lion, and like a lion, who dares rouse him? 10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, neither the commander’s staff from between his feet, until Shiʹloh comes, and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.
(Hebrews 7:14) For it is clear that our Lord has descended from Judah, yet Moses said nothing about priests coming from that tribe.

Thanks again sir for the great question, I hope I have been of some help

I think that Christians used to believe that the Bible had all the answers. At least my great grandmother and her friends seemed to think so.

Good to find Christians who think that some questions don't have biblical answers.

Another TFS member asked this question on another thread?

Is God guilty of genocide, for example in Noah's flood?

I only asked because the biblical time line puts the age of the earth at just over 6,000 years (the calculation is very simple).

However, the speed of light and the distance of stars form the earth makes the biblical time line of creation literally impossible.

I don't know any Christians who believe the 6,000 year timeline, although the ladies in my great grandmother's group probably did. Even Billy Graham changed his opinion.

I used to go to a Baptist church. Not because I believed what they were teaching, but because I actually like some of the people a lot. Anyway, essentially everyone that was a member of that church espoused the belief that the earth was only 6000 years old... some went with 10,000 years.
