Ok... sone of you might have picked up on the "fact" that I have started learning guitar, and reading music.

I was never especially good at "art", though I can sort of mechanically make (draw, paint, etc) something vaguely "artistic" and (perhaps) pleasing to the eye.

I read (yes, the bible is my obsession) a lot...

Anyway...

Without further adue...

What have in your life done for yourself?

Music...HS band... college music... art... painting...drawing...

I'm leaning here towards the "artistic", but maybe your "gig" was a sport... soccer, softball, kickball, flag football...

Or something else...

Travel... hiking... nature....

A friend of mine likes to read technical manuals.

You?

Smoke pot... fine cigars... drink quality wine or whiskey... opera... ?

I’ve been making bracelets. Just simple strung stretchy cord ones.
It satisfies my urge to craft. Always fits when noting else on my body stays the same size for more than a few weeks. And is sparkly to satisfy my bird tendencies.

I can’t do most of my other hobbies lately and it’s made me sad and dealing with that on top of everything else has messed me up a bit more. But I’m working through it slowly. It’s getting better.

I like to read suspense thrillers and private detective mysteries. I have read seven paperbacks this year. I have cut down a lot of reading books, lack of interest. I have average 18 or 22 paperbacks per years over the years.

I am somewhat more interest in politic and religion than ever before, because of been on the forum. it helps that people on the forum express their views for me to understand something. than to understand articles or passages out of the bible, which I have never been in interesting. I kind question the passage , if know what it is said, or does it make sense, these days.

over the years, off and on, I could go traveling, whether go more sight seeing, in sense, learn different cultures than see landscapes. you go anywhere to see mountains and oceans and fancy outhouses. in America, i would visit all over the places. i see the sites. outside the usa, i would see places and learn their cultures. i think if you going a vacation, have experience, exactly have fun. then come back to live your boring life in your blue dress.

I read Stephen King almost exclusively. Currently reading The Institute.

Play keyboards and trumpet - mostly copy, but I do create, or contribute to others original works. The basement band I was in for a while blew up at the end of summer.

Interest in Astronomy/Stars/Space and related science. Been keeping an eye on SpaceX.
We're currently in the deepest solar minimum of the space age, but signs of the next cycle have also appeared.
Betelgeuse just dimmed a little - again. Just another cycle, or is it getting ready to explode? (or did it already ... less than 600 years ago)

If I had more free time I would expand on any one of those.

Eat fewer big meals.
Drink water or black coffee.
Eliminated clutter.
I try to get at least 10 minutes of fresh air per day (difficult!)

I learned me to read and write cos school sucked. Then I taught myself to play muzak on the geetar and drums and played in a band for a few years as a singer/songwriter. I used to work out regularly for years and was a sizable beast back in the day (6ft 2 and 104kgs or around 230 pounds). I used to read various books in philosophy, psychology, history, political theory and a few sciences for fun (as you do), and spent a lot of time out in the Aussie bush trying not to get killed by wild animals or malevolent shrubbery. I also played a lot of different sports, and was given an offer to go pro in Australian rules football but declined... and I love fishing and do it when I get the chance.

As I mentioned before I don't believe in doing for myself to prove me to me but I think a lot of world issues would be solved if everyone were to find a hobby

I've learned computer graphics; photo-editing, 2D, 3D and I'm going to try and learn the programming language Python

Not because I'm going to bother seeking a career that utilizes those skills but rather entertainment.

Well within this decade alone, I tried many new things, quit and revived some as well. This year, I have reduced my alcohol consumption, quit and picked smoking pot back up. I also started writing a lot of poetry as you all know. I even learned a fighting style that I may learn more of this upcoming year (Muay Thai).

Yes... I had my "chance" (soccer as we call it in the USA, but my "chance" was not in the USA as at the time "we" sucked... and still do in men's soccer...)..

Very interesting!
