Sorry state of security

Survey says put an unprotected PC online, there's a 90% chance it will be infected within the hour. Even protected, security won't help if you fall for a phishing scam, surf porn or download freebies.
The best advice is use a reputable firewall, anti-virus and spyware blockers. Next is to patch, update and scan often. The theory for auto theft is the same for the net; any deterrent is better than none, but if a hacker is really determined, odds are in their favor.
