You people are in for such a treat. It looks like I will now have lots of time to spend here.

On Thursday my team of doctors told me it's time I start hospice care.

These doctors just don't know me. They have given me up for dead several times. They also said I would never speak or write again. I guess I can fool them one more time.

Well it’s been a long a** week.

My husband thought he would celebrate indigenous people’s day in the Er and with emergency exploratory surgery. It’s now officially one of the “big holidays” right up there with Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July.

He’s fine, coming home tonight. We caught it early.
And yes I’m the wife that answers the question. “911 what’s your emergency” with “my husband vomited”.

I am phrasing it a little better, but still.

My brother and sister were on a first name basis with the EMTs.
... or more accurately, their spouses.

(...um, aka- my in-laws, not the emt spouses)
