when you realizes that you are on passenger's side of the car, and talking to jesus , who driving to church.

after 10 minutes, you realizes you never left your driveway, and the image of jesus behind the wheel that to talk is real your dog. who never like you in the first.

Neither subjective nor objective understanding. What is the alternative?

I didn’t say not objective. Having a common understanding often comes with a simple read of the text— allowing the scriptures to teach themselves ( not imposing meaning or layer meanings which wouldn’t be there).

Some things can be understood.

Some things cannot be understood.

Some things can only be partially understood.

With some things it is obvious almost immediately that one will never understand "it"... with other things it takes a life time to gain the smallest glimmer of understanding "it".

etc

KK: one of the thrusts of fundamentalism is to push back from a purely experiential and subjective understanding of the faith.

Mike: I have been equating that which is experienced (i.e, the object of perception) with Objective. …And the Experiencer with subjective. It may be that I do not understand what objective and subjective mean.

If you could explain it would be appreciated.

The process of experience (mind)
That which is experienced (body)
The experiencer (soul)

Is that correct...?

I get what you're saying with "subject" and "object" now (the person and what he perceives).

It's interesting especially when we are trying to pin down the nature of realy.

You do understand this and I'm playing catch up.

Read the bible from 1st word to last word, and you won't be playing "catch up" any more.

Maybe even pray to god to guide your understanding of your full and complete reading of his word.

Maybe.
