I have a friend who must always be right.

I know, some of you probably think I this way.

But why must "you" always be "right"?

What do you gain?

If there is a god and after life, have you secured something by always being "right"?

If there is nothing after death, what have you secured by always being "right"?

people's ego plays in this scenario, to be heard in life. you must be little or a lot of aggonant to think you always right in everything or in subject.

you need be humiliate at times, to be in your place. you are not god, you are not perfect.

and, you never always right, just in something, not everything.

Ego.
The "Always Right" clan is right up there with the "Story Teller" clan.
They always have a story for something - and it's better that the previous story.

I'm happy to be wrong, in a way. It means I'm still learning.

Q. what do you gain??
A. an existential advantage.

All the world is a stage
WE are players
WE play our roles.

The role of the ‘I am always right’ IAAR is, established in early childhood, is deeply rooted and pretty much influences all of the IAAR’s interactions.

Arguing and winning the argument confirms the actor’s role as an IAAR.

The existential advantage is this confirmation of the role that is being played.

The role played (learned in early childhood) is a determinant of the actor’s destiny

Actors spend their lives stabilizing their role. The dialog is frequently the same (e.g., yes but). These actors are, for the most part, very good at their roles and manipulate other actors into playing supportive roles.

Actors that do not support the IAAR role are avoided.

When two IAARs meet the fun begins.

Ahh yes .. the IAAR's look for lemmings and parrots - Lemmings and parrots that will regurgitate their dialog - to confirm the IAAR's role.

Then one day, the lemmings and parrots will get to choose a leader And the really good and close lemmings and parrots get to sit near the IAAR at the table for the feast.
... and then the IAAR runs out of roast beast and turkey

a man walks into a bar, and the bartender with a parrot on his shoulder, and the bartender said, " what can I get you ? "

the man said, " I take a beer! "

the bartender give him, and the man is drinking it.

the man said to the bartender, " how's hanging, doing ok? "

the parrot said the man, " I am right, just living? "

Proper scientists always leave themselves as, at least, ten percent wrong.
How to discover and learn further otherwise?

As for brownie points getting into 'Heaven'...that's a new topic entirely *grins*

Yes.

I suppose that is it... it boosts a person's ego to believe that he/she is always right.

But if "everyone" always told me I was right, I would begin to suspect that either I was insane, they were very stupid or (most likely) they were patronizing me... which I view as disrespectful.

Just my opinion... and no one should necessarily agree with me.
