stop with the left wing talking points..
it's harder to buy and then take home the same day at guns shows then it is to buy one at a gun store....in order to buy a gun at a gun show you must fill out 5 pages of paperwork....which includes finger prints..and then that paperwork goes to the ATF for background checks
True....if buying from a commercial firearms dealer. However, the gun show loophole isn’t referring to that. It is referring to private party transactions, a feature of gun shows. And those do not require the extensive background checks you are illustrating.
@bobbimay Said
those are covered in those 5 pages...
Not enough in the mental illness department - they only include those who are either determined as such in courts or admitted into institutions. They don’t include those reported by doctors or medical cases.

Point 2...
fully automatic weapons are banned..semi automatic is what is not banned..fully auto means you just have to pull trigger once to fire all bullets..the reason the Las Vegas shooter had to use a bump stock.. a semi auto..means you have to pull once for every bullet...there is no one alive today that could fire "hundreds" of bullets pulling the trigger one at a time...
Thank you for the diversion lesson, but I know what the difference is between fully automatic and semi automatic. The point was, though, with the latter, which is legal to possess, the average person is able to fire off shots at a much quicker rate than with manual firearms. And, yes, it can reach into the hundreds when bump stocks, which are also legal, are added to them.
And, again, they serve no purpose other than to bring down as many humans as you can in a short amount of time. Can you think of a situation where we might need to do that? I suppose if you believe orcs are real or risk an impending a zombie apocalypse, you might have merit in finding our right to have such weapons.
Which brings me to...

point 3
I am a damn good shot with my guns...but I am deadly with my compound bow..I know I could take out at least 30 people a minute with it and no one would see or hear those arrows coming.
Nice to know, Legolas. But you need to take a bit more pride in your skill here, rather than imply that anyone can achieve this level of proficiency absent of guns. While there are certainly exceptions everywhere, fact of the matter is, while not every mass shooting will be eliminated or the number of deaths, we will see a reduction of deaths if semi-automatic weapons are taken out of the trade market. So why not do so? It doesn’t have to be one extreme solution or another.

Point 4
Chicago has very strict gun laws hasn't helped them now has it 1500 people shot just this year.
I don’t know about Chicago this year, but since the Brady Bill was enacted in the early 1990’s, the rate of violent crimes, overall homicides, and gun related homicides, which were at a peak near the mid 1990s, each having had risen steadily since the FBI started tracking such data in the 1960’s. have been declining steadily and are now near their early 1960s levels, returning to half the rate it was in 1993.

H.R. 8
H.R. 1112
These are bills that the House has passed and presented on the doorstep for Mitch’s Senate to take up, which he has refused to do so. One deals with the loophole. The other deals with extending the waiting period.
I don’t see any bans here, do you?
