Should it be Federal law?

And birth certificate

And documentation of religious affiliation

And first mortgage papers

Shoe size at age 21

First Kiss verification

And all kinds of ridiculous laws by all of the states that will be challenged and clog up the supreme court!
Why let them get anything useful done.
We need to stop all three branches!

(not saying the taxes thing is ridiculous - just that I'm sure it will be challenged)

I'm good with this one.... and the taxes.

Proof that "you" are a U.S. citizen makes sense (and I think is already required).

Transparency with one's finances makes sense to me also.

In the government (USA)... both civilian & military... one's finances are considered when one is up for a "high" security clearance... the president should be held at least to the lowest standard of a government employee...

Of course just my opinion.... after all, who would ever want access to the birth certificate or tax filings of people like the Clintons... Obamas... etc...?

is funny, I never paid that much attention over a candidate's taxes over the years, until president bozo. you figure of all people be for show their taxes, it would bozo.

bozo need the center of attention at all time, you figure he would any problems with American people. bozo is probably a crook in business. he would probably go to jail, maybe if he wasn't in office.

state primary ballot ha ha ...you do know that President Trump does not have a primary challenger and the RNC already stated they will not support a primary challenger....so "law" means nothing.

whats going to happen..the law will be challenged in court and if it get to the SC and the court will rule that equal under the law and all politicians must show their taxes or non have to in Calf..then the law will be rescinded because people like Pelosi et al won't or can't show theirs

Does the RNC have to "support" someone running for the GOP ticket?

no they don't...but it would be kinda hard to run against our President when you have to raise all monies and voter info yourself....

and if some loser does get into a Republican primary in Cali..all the republican primary voters have to do is to write in President Trumps name..game over.

Of course the real point of the post was the two questions that followed the story line:

but then IF all those that are running...congress..to dog catcher..had to show theirs...how many would drop out immediately...

I don't know about "dog catchers", but i like the idea for the president, VP, Congress, all federal judges and all senior posts in the federal government.

How many would drop out? Hopefully the ones with stuff to hide would never get into the race to begin with.

It would not prove that the ones running for office were honest, but it might keep more of the dishonest ones out.

I'm glad previous presidents shared their taxes, some monetary connections were seen that may not have be.

Note: i am not trying to convince anyone, just sharing my opinion.

As expected, Trump and the GOP filed suit today to have this blocked. Personally, I don’t think this California law will survive.

Doesn't the senate have to pass something, or start an investigation to bring suite?

show me any law or Constitutional amendment that mandates a President or anyone that is running for President show their taxes....or that ANY privet person is mandated to show their taxes to the public..
