Kind of a twisted way to look at it: Yes, the corporations are making money, but also think of all of the jobs in the supply chain and logistics.

Welcome back by the way...

The wayfair thing got to me.

I’m down with getting beds and furnishings to any place people have to to be “held”. It’s just the profiting off what feels like abuse and mistreatments feels dirty to me.
Selling things at cost would make me feel better, I get that materials, logistics and labor have costs.

Mostly I feel helpless. Like I can’t do enough to stop suffering around me.

Thanks it’s been a rough month. With at least another two weeks or more of issues. We’ve moved into the club that names kidney stones like hurricanes. Stone Doofenshmirtz just hit landfall and was removed, but Stone Ferdinand is scheduled to hit landfall on the 26th.
And there is thought, he might be getting a fourth a** hole. It’s not a band... one is enough, two was unfortunate, three way too much. If no one needs three a** holes, no one needs a fourth.

My kidney stone/ass hole humor is dark and the only thing that gets me through weeks of hospital drama and trying to keep a full time job.

Before Jaws there was this.

I'm just three months out from seeing a familiar face.

Let's all sing along.

To me it's about process and justice and that the straw man of the absent God who never strikes with lightning needs to be re-thought.

He doesn't strike with lightning but there are other ways to rightly divide the heart of man.

The expression has been around since the days of Plutarch.

He misquoted the line from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem... (though the "idea" extends back farther into history)... the phrase should read;

"Though the mills of God grind slowly; Yet they grind exceeding small;
Though with patience He stands waiting, With exactness grinds He all."

The "grist" part was a bit weird, being a noun, and as the grist comes as a result of the grinding...

Probably a typographical error... no need for the Internet grammar/spelling police.

No, but he does/did "strike" with floods, rain of fire, fire, plague, earth quake, hailstones, lions, (and some would like to believe) HIV/AIDS... as well as telling people to kill each other for various infractions of the "law"... and "god knows what" when the Apocalypse comes.

But you are correct. No lighting. That was Thor or Zeus' methodology. No lightening.

Locusts! Didn't he also strike loose with locusts?
Or was that just his angles?

Grist the grain either before or after milling.

I am thinking that the grist ground exceedingly small may mean that God does not miss much.
