Have you ever had a dream that was unfinished?

Did you wake up before it ended?

Did it ever conclude the next time you went to sleep?

Are any of them still unfinished?

If you can remember any of them, would you be willing to share?

Yes.
I've had nights where I'd wake up - for whatever reason (pee, thunder, dog...) and have gone back to sleep and kind of picked up on the same dream.
I'd don't remember the details, but I remember it happening and thinking the next morning how unusual that was.

I've often had different dreams, different nights, different stories in the "city" that exists only in my dreams. But I recognize it as familiar in the dream ... there's this one parking garage that is a pain in the a** because of narrow lanes, tight turns and no guard rails.

I also have recurring dreams (and just had one the other night) of "air fishes" - fish that swim through the air - as more or less pets. For some reason they were in my garage the other night.

I don't know about "Finished", as I don't know if I had a set goal

the last couple of days, I had good couple of dreams in a row. but, now I can't remember them.

I have unfinished dreams all time. but, I never has the same dream twice. I had daydreams that I used to have in my childhood and my twenty that at times, I can remember off and on in thirty and forty. but then, I can't remember if they were dreams or daydreams. it was confusing at times.

My most recent was odd. I feel like it’s unfinished. It was like a repeating cycle. I would walk into a classroom. Looks like my first day of Grad School and I see all my classmates and they are just staring at me angrily like I kicked their dog. My friend who made it into the program with me wouldn’t look at me. Then, immediately I would be meditating in some dark room before the dream started over. Before I woke up I saw myself standing and it looked like I was shedding.

I remember having a series of dreams that were cycling/repeating through in the same night - and at some point I realized it was a repeating dream, and I was able to do something different and get different results.

But I wasn't able to take "full control" of my dream.

I have a recurring dream... or a dream with a recurring theme...

I am still working in my former career... but I am not supposed to be as I am retired... I am actually working for free... that is, I do get my retirement salary but I am no longer a salaried employee... I continue assignments, but have this feeling that I will be in some trouble eventually when it is learned that I should not be on the job anymore... what "trouble" I will be in is not clear... my work is good... etc...

I'm guessing "it" means that, subconsciously, I still wish I was still doing my old job or that I have some unresolved issues... Career nostalgia.

I don’t remember my dreams at all. Experts have attributed this to both a lack of sleep and experts have attributed this to being a deep sleeper, which means that they are not really experts.

I am a deep sleeper and I sleep 8 hours a night, so I think it is just a matter of the fact that my dreams DO complete and allow for my brain to take a break from them before waking up, hence the forgetfulness. I do notice that in the rarer times I don’t sleep well and/or wake up several times during the night, dreams linger with me in my awakened consciousness for a few minutes.

Yes, happens to me all the time. Lately though, I've been having really vivid dreams. When I first wake up I'm thinking, "Wow, wtf" but as I wake up fully, I forget it all except that initial feeling that it was strange and vivid. I used to study my dreams. These days I can't remember enough about them to study them.

I was running late to the first day at my new job (only in dream)

I'm not sure what started my "lateness", but I remember driving on a highway but I wasn't getting much closer, and I wasn't sure of the directions.

(this part has been a recurring theme for other "destination dreams" )
Then I was hurriedly walking / half-running through the city / neighborhood.
Though I wasn't quite sure the route to get there, (this time) I was heading to a tall building that I could see. So I was cutting through alleys, buildings, storefronts, etc.
One unusual cut-through looked like an entrance to a lobby of a building, but as I went further in it turned into something like a frat-house - multiple bedrooms / living rooms - or maybe some kind of hotel-motel with people hanging out - and I couldn't find the exit on the other side. Someone looked at me and I said "I'm just trying to find my way out" - and he pointed to a door, and I was on my way again.

Some of the street scenes, buildings and storefronts were repeats from other dreams. I didn't recognize at the time they were from other "dreams", but they were somewhat familiar to me in the dream, like a "big city" I may occasionally visit.

Then something woke me before I got to my destination.

My next snooze session was about my current - real-life job and some stuff I was working on yesterday.

I had a dream that I was the reincarnation with a Mortal Kombat Character. I was with my wife and somebody kicked my door down. I woke up before I saw what happened next.
