I'm going to try kickboxing again. Just at a more affordable gym.

I told my friend that I may have to talk to someone about my serotonin. He said "oh nice."

Kickboxing: One of the few sports where you can use your chronic foot odour to your advantage.

I got in trouble in Judo one time when I was a kid because we were practising legholds and I had my sandals on that day. I had PE and after school care earlier, I was running all day and I'm pretty sure I forgot to shower the day before, so my feet really stunk (I actually tricked a friend into smelling my feet after school and he told me that he could see spots. One of the girls did for some reason, but she just got grossed out.)

I was partnered with one of the older kids (although he was still a white belt like me), and I guess he thought he could push me around even though we were about the same size, because right before the sensei told us to begin, he went for the back of my ankle and swept me down. He grabbed my leg before I realized what had happened, but I guess my toes were spread because I felt his nose wedge between my big and index toes and I heard him sniff a few times. He groaned and tried to push my foot away, but I rested my other one on his face while he was distracted by the initial whiff. He grabbed both my ankles while I attempted to grab one of his flailing legs and by this time the sensei, the other instructors and the other kids were watching. The kids were all laughing, the sensei looked disappointed and a few of the instructors just shook their heads. I let go and lifted my feet off his face as he was sputtering and coughing.

One of the instructors (who I think didn't like me very much) pulled me out in the hallways and made me wash my feet using the cold water from the drinking fountain. Which didn't really help. It just made my feet cold, wet and dirtier, and he ended up having to sniff them a couple of times to see if they'd gotten any better. He gave up after the 5th time and I had to sit out for the rest of the class. The other kid got kicked out because he swore at me and said I "have nasty f***ing skunk feet!" I felt embarrassed, but also thought it was funny.

And in my defence, a lot of the other kids had smelly feet too. The Mat Room was literally a mini-gymnasium covered in thick, black mats that you ran around on and did flips on, or practice martial arts. It practically stunk of feet 24/7 anyway! Most of the girls didn't wear socks, almost all of the boys wore sandals or the same socks a few days in a row. Hell, I remember one time as a silly joke for the out-of-school-care, we had to ourselves up based on whose feet were smellier. We didn't have to take off our shoes and check, but most of us did. A few kids were shy or grossed out, so they stood in their own line and didn't participate. Of course, true to nature, kid me was offering sniffs of my sandaled feet to everyone, even people who weren't participating, or were just walking by.

So every now and then you hear of these high school seniors:
"I got accepted into 100 colleges!"

Isn't there a fee for college admissions applications? So how much money did they spend to apply?

Also, if they have a good GPA and decent ACT/SAT scores, most will accept you.

I got accepted to 100% of the colleges I applied to.... just sayin'.

Well done... though it is a very easy thing to do.

My go to technique has two parts:

1. I ask them if they have read all of the bible, 1st word to last word. This puts them on the defensive as the vast majority have not.

2. I tell them that they should read the bible.

By this point, they are typically pissed off at me and say some variation of they are not going to be told what to do by Satan.

"We" rarely get into more detailed discussion, because they really don't understand anything about either the bible, christianity or their own sect of christianity.

It really is great fun!

College application fess are roughly $60 (according to google search).

So these accepted by 100 schools paid roughly $6000.

I applaud the financial success of the parents willing to pay $6000 for their indecisive children to have a broad selection of choices.

Of course that is a pittance compared to some people who spent tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to bribe their child's way into one (1) school.

This is the story I heard on the radio that prompted my comment.

Though this particular story is about scholarships ... don't you still have to apply to the (a) school to get a scholarship?

Granted - it's still a great accomplishment - and he did all that without an Adversity Score !
