that ok, the series finale of " 24 " was 19 millions was on three weekend of may, and the series finale of " lost " was 15 millions on the second weekend of may.

for gto and hbo was fairly ok, hbo should gto's series finale in april would give much better ratings, in general.

So in the end (or by the end) the good guys got what they wanted and the bad guys got there comeuppances. Over all a pretty standard TV/Hollywood fantasy story... good guys win.... bad guys lose....

Danyerius died, but only after freeing numerous places including King's Landing & Westeros... her death was her comeuppance for turning evil.

Jon... in the beginning all he wanted was to be a member of the Night's Watch, and that is where he ended up. He never wanted power, so gave it up.

Sansa... in the beginning she wanted to be the Joffrey's girl friend and become queen. She got both of those desires, given that the Queen part was Queen of the North.

Gendry... pretty much just wanted to live and he ended up the ruler of Storm's End. All in all not too bad.

The Hound wanted to kill his brother the Mountain and he did.

The Mountain got is comeuppance for being a evil murderous SOB

Jamie... all he really wanted was to be with Cersie, and in the end he was.

Brianna of Earth wanted Jaime, to be a knight and to be in the Kingsguard... she got Jaime (for a night), became a knight and ended up head of the Kingsguard.

Tyrion wanted to be valued (IMO) and in the end he was.

Lord Varys wanted peace in the Seven Kingdoms and a good roller... he never saw it, but got what he wanted.

Euron Greyjoy wanted to have sex with Cersie, and he got that.

Yara Greyjoy wanted to become Queen of the Iron Islands and got that.

Cersie wanted to be the ruler of the 7 kingdoms, and she was... sort of.... but got her comeuppance for being an evil b****.

Bran... sort of wanted to live in a dream world... done.

Arya... had her list. They all died... some she killed others were killed "for" her.

The North wanted to break away from the 7 kingdoms and got their way.

The other 6 Kingdoms wanted a good ruler and go their own way.

The Dothraki wanted to battle and kill... done.

The Unsullied, at least by the end wanted freedom...sort of... and got that.

Davos wanted the bay and to fix or help Flea Bottom...

Etc... etc... etc...

Lot's of bad guys got their comeuppances...

Pretty standard TV/Hollywood fantasy story... good guys win.... bad guys lose....

the thing that really odd has nothing with storyline. why sets nobody on editing notice trash like cup and bottle, when filming. i never heard that before, with all that money that have to produce. they can be soo careless.

unless, the cast and the crew hate how the story end, and left trash behind to get even.

Did the cast and crew really know at the time of the filming?

I hear for some movies/series the actors don't know the full story until the screening.

Aren't the unsullied all .. um .. de-sullied?
Where will the next generation come from?

it is possible, but redo the shots, the director should have notice the debris on daily screening and his associates should to. it is possible, the two scenes were set up as pranks for the fans.

Yeah, I'm sure they're joking publicly, but underneath they're fuming.

It's one thing to plant easter-eggs and cameos, but another for a "defect"

Did you see the one shot that was edited out before broadcast - Jamie hugging Cercie and you can see a real hand where Jamie's gold one should have been.

.. but that's what editing and reviews are for - to catch that stuff beforehand.

i really hardly watch for mistakes like that in series that or even movies. gto had bad acting or writing , that's nothing.

more think about it, I did see that Jamie's hand. it kind look he had a blood red ring on. the hand was bleeding. which a gold hand should have blood on it.

there is a scene of tv show, " ultraman " where you see the monster's back in the middle of his back. you can see the back and head of the actor, who was inside the monster.

in last moments of the second season's finale, Samwell hiding behind boulders from emeny. that first time, I realized this tv show in trouble, it was a horrible and somewhat stupid scene.

that's make three mistakes in no. one tv show in it's finale season. they should have caught that many mistakes. since tv episodes are taped 6 to 8 weeks ahead, before they are air.

I have a friend that used to work in Hollywood on shows back in the day.
We were discussing continuity mistakes (in a different show) but still...

She was saying continuity was one of the jobs that used to be done by one person on set, but it was eliminated and the “duties” given to other positions. In some shows it’s more of a problem than others.

But basically it takes a special type of attention to detail to catch all these things and it’s not always a skill that goes hand in hand with creativity and the technical aspects of editing.

So Tyrion left out of the song of ice and fire seemed sad to me.
Like punishment. Maybe it was.

I still would like to see the books finished. I have a thousand questions.

I'm disappointed in George RR Martin.

I don't think he will finish the series, and don't care anymore.

His is on my do not read list.

I read that Stephen King has someone that tracks all his characters and locations throughout all his books in order to maintain continuity through his worlds. For those not familiar, the villain in most of his stories is a different incarnation of the same "evil" sourced from the universe of the Dark Tower. And there are many cross references linking them together.

it look like game of thrones tried to hard be different than lords of the ring. basely, good vs evil is still the best story plot in these kind of fantasy.

Many characters had both good and evil aspects.
