Seeing this Sunday.

Geez, 3.5 hours long too. That’s even worse than the extended edition LOTR.

But I’m not about to say no to the wifey on her birthday.

Expect a soap opera of sorts. You won't be insulted but it's not high art. I'm starting to wonder if I'll see it on the big screen.

back in the 60's, for example, first 20 issues of Spider-Man, you read more soap opera than a story about peter parker's life than Spider-Man.

stan lee seen like more soap opera styled stories in comic books than a ordinary day life.

Saw it. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The Lebowski references with Thor made it entertaining, and I liked the nostalgia with Captain America at the end.

It will surpass them all eventually. But that is without accounting for inflation. Once inflation is accounted for, there are several older movies that remain on the top, and will always remain on the top simply because people don’t go to movies as much as they did back then.

it like when piece brosnan joined and become james bond. if you never hear of Remington steel the tv show that piece, you never heard of him. at the time, piece's goldeneye was released. this one movie gross more money at the box office since dr. no in 1962, the first bond movie. you wonder it was pierce brought the money gross or it was one of the best of all the bond movies together before.

Spoiler Alert!

Spoller to follow.....

I get the Iron Man thing, and totally get that Robert Downey Jr. probably wanted and ending so "they" could not pressure him into one more film....

None the less I feel like they blew it relative to Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel, as we know, had already survived massive energy blasts. She essentially absorbs energy making her stronger/more powerful. She is clearly a far more powerful superhero than Ironman. She’s the most powerful Avenger. She should, clearly I think, have been the one to pull the glove off of Thanos (perhaps even with Thor's help). Getting knocked flat by Thanos was ridiculous. In fact, Captain Marvel should have had a much more involved roll all around... after all in the previous movie Fury called her as essentially the last hope. A bit disappointing in my view.

In addition, Quill (aka Star-Lord) had already survived a major energy blast/absorption by one of the stones. In fact, jointly the Guardians of the Galaxy took that major engird blast/absorption, but Quill was the key because of his father's power.... thus Quill is (apparently) part superhuman/god.

There is literally no way Ironman should have pulled the glove off of Thanos... that is ridiculous.

Other than that, I enjoyed the movie... it covered a lot of "ground" and story line (though Okay probably should also have had a bigger role).

Thor, Ant-Man Rocket and the Hulk were excellent!

the comic book version of this storyline all marvel super-heroes fighting thanos, it was soo bad of storyline back then, I can't remember it back in 90's.

you probably close to 30 or more marvel superheroes in the movies like fantastic four, X-Men, daredevil, and other superheroes, you probably will not know. marvel introduce them in the movies.

marvel didn't to, I don't think guardian of the galaxy wasn't in the original storyline in the comic version.

chaski - of course, this movie is going little silly, it will be too long.

captain marvel would be the strongest avenger at the time, in the comic version, if I remember that carol leaves the avengers after the fight. she leave earth to be the protector of kree and the universe. something like in the avenger's world.

in other words, it would probably have a good ending, even through there will a lot of holes that were take out of the original storyline.
