This I found very enlightened reading. I see "PC" thrown around so much that I always wondered if it was not just part of the power play or loss of a sense of entitlement that is at play.

Political Correctness has been around for as long as civilization.

It's when the need to be part of a group-idea-movement over-powers the truth.

I am sure that a lot of people who hold to PC ideas are genuinely of the opinion that intolerance is wrong. However, those people will not remain PC for long, as PC is the new intolerance.

In truth, PC is anti knowledge, anti thought, anti learning, anti morality, anti west, anti Jew, anti Christian, anti God, and sees violent Muslims as useful idiots to assist in bringing about a Marxist style utopia.

Those of us that see the Emperors genitalia flapping in the breeze try to point it out to his loyal followers, but they refuse to see what is so proudly placed on public display.

Imagine you go to the hospital and enter the emergency room glass doorway entrance and along the wall are fat people.

Each person is there and you look at them but never ask them how many months pregnant are you because your arm is broken and the pain doesn't allow you to think clearly but it's pretty convenient cover as I'm sure not all them fat people are pregnant but just obese.

That's what political correctness does to over 7 billion people every day. You know what it (the situation) looks like and then have shut your mouth because it's not the right time and somebody could look bad including you. Thanks bigot!

So political correctness is bad because if you see someone who is overweight, you should walk up to them and call them "fat" or "obese" instead of minding your own F__king business.

Interesting.

Funny, my mom always taught me to mind my own business, and frequently said if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I always thought my mom was just teaching me about common courtesy, but now I see that she was part of an evil plot to destroy humanity.

let us there is an emergency room in a hospital room, where one side of the room is only black people and one side of the room is white people.

let us said each side of the room that blacks and white are judge by their society ranks like the first whites are rich, and across the side there five blacks that are equally rich. the next five on both sides are middle class, and the rest of both sides are the five remain blacks and whites that are poor.

politically correct in society - which part of this group of blacks and whites will choice first by what they are in the society.

who will be black or white will they be first by being rich, middle class, or poor?

Think of the words - "Political" ...
Back in the day, politics was intended for the people - or the nation ... all of them.
So you need to be correct to whoever you are talking too, or be considerate of their condition.
They did not choose to be obese, black, Mexican, gay, lesbian, disabled, disfigured....

But today, "Political" correctness is a misnomer. The "PC" idea is still "Be considerate for all" (though as with everything, the online SJWs have taken extremes)
But "Politics" has become "My Team" winning at all costs...
The best (worst) example has been elevated to top.

"Back in the day": The idea behind politics was to get the most votes, so you don't want to piss anybody off.
Today: piss-off the other side, and get your base hootin' and hollerin'!!

I would only add that while the SJWs take PC too far, the critics of being PC (i.e. being considerate towards others) go far in complaining about "PC" and essentially promote rudeness and poor behavior.

Some people think that "Political Correctness" is a new phenomenon but it's been around since 1793. It was first used by an American judge to distinguish between the phrases United States and people of the United States - he believed the latter to be "politically correct".

Latterly, the aim has been to establish a set of ideologies and views on gender, race and other minorities. Political correctness refers to language and ideas that may cause offence to some identity groups.

If you're a member of a minority group it can be a defence against abuse. If you're an abuser you'll object to it because it calls you to account for your actions.

In political terms, there are people with a variety of different views who are offended by the term "politically correct," seeing it in a derogatory way to refer to any attempt by liberals to advocate respect for those who differ from the majority.

I agree with the liberal goal of respect for minorities and the historically oppressed, whereas the right wing of the political spectrum use the term as a way to attack liberals and as a means of getting away with expressing prejudice.

There are many things people say that are a little (or a lot) hurtful. Sometimes, people who like to say these things object when they're corrected and their embarrassment at having their prejudice pointed out to them makes them react angrily.

In my opinion those who deride so-called 'political correctness' do so to caricature and dismiss the views of liberals. Those conservatives think they're attacking a doctrine, but what they're actually doing is attacking the principles of respect and equality.

interesting , nowdays, a sex assault woman is allows to go to the prison, where is her attacker is and confront him. not to attack him, but to let him to apologizes to her, and he hope she forgive him.

interesting, nowdays, that family and parents of murder victims can witness their family member's murderer's execution.

you wonder the political correctness in these cases, who get off with by slap in the hand. it is the society or justice?
