I disagree.

Aside from my irrelevant questions, I think the motor of the refrigerator will heat up the room.

Even if you leave the refrigerator doors open. The heat generated by the motor will exceed the cooling capabilities.

In essence, you are adding energy to the system with the electricity needed to run the motor.

But I still want ice cream.

Speaking of heat, I just saw a demonstration of something I had forgot about.

A glass of water is super-cooled - temperature brought down below freezing.
A liquid can become super-cooled if there isn't anything for the ice to grow on (it's more complicated, but that's close enough)

Once you prick, or stir the water, ice starts to form - and the temperature of the water Goes Up - even above freezing!!
