Spike Jones And His City Slckers in the 40s and 50s, Pink Floyd up to 1977, then maybe The Fall.
Plus various friends of mine.

I liked it, but not as much. The live version was better, and the film was better, and Roger's live version of a few years ago was better.
It was a visual spectacle, certainly, just as many of their live concerts were. But the original album had little of that, just a few Scarfe images.

I didn't care much for the "Berlin" concert. It was Ok and entertainment, but ... meh...

I saw Roger's Wall a few years back - in-f#%&*#'ing-credible - even without drugs!
- and what's better was I went alone, and I didn't have bothersome friends or family to deal with!

I probably OD'd on the original movie - saw it more than 20 times. It was a regular at the Midnight Movies ... and so was I.

.. but now I'm a King Crimson fan more than PF.

I guessed that from your avatar, they're a good band, and among the last remaining "old" bands that are still innovating and performing radical....actions.

Don't got there. LOL. My dad is a Pink Floyd nut and never gets fed up with playing his complete collection of everything they've ever made either as a band or as solo artists. He even saw them play at the UFO Club in London in the 1960's when Syd Barret was fronting the band..!!

Not a fan myself, although they're not bad, I guess.

I liked DSOM and Wish You Were Here. Love Echoes (from Meddle). Animals (the entire album) is awesome. Agree the anti-war sentiments of The Final Cut but other albums like Ummagumma (lay off the acid, lads) and The Wall are wrist cutting material.

Gerald Scarfe's artwork and animations for The Wall are pretty impressive though. The marching hammers are scary and as for the flowers...... Oh my goodness. How rude...!!!

Wait... What? I'm not believing these words you wrote...

Just kidding...

To each his or her own...

...except that woman who years ago told me she loved jazz, "...but not John Coltrane's 'kind if jazz'..."
