This
#walkaway is actually a fake movement. Sure, there might be a small number (and it is a very small number) of people who have bought into it, but it isn't going anywhere and isn't doing anything.
#walkaway doesn't have any political platform. There is no political ideology involved. There is no direction and no leadership.... it provides no guidance. It is essentially a dumb gimmick designed to target the gullible.
Is the
#walkaway movement for or against social programs? for or against taxes? for or against the military? for or against healthcare? No one knows because there is not leadership guiding the movement anywhere, no political platform to be read and understood... there is literally nothing...
1. You see, the Democratic and Republican political parties have platforms.... they have philosophies (politically speaking). If you believe all or most of what the Democrats stand for you are either a Democrat or a left leaning Independent.
If you believe in what the Democrats stand fore, but you just don't like the leadership and/or don't like the extreme left, you are still a Democrat or a left leaning Independent.
In this situation
you are not a Republican. You might be a disenchanted liberal, but there is no where for you to "just walk away" to.
2. Now if you used to be a Democrat, but have changed your mind and now believe all more most of the Republican political platform you are no longer a Democrat you are a Republican or a right leaning Independent.
In this case
you are NOT "just walking away". You are actively realigning you political position and moving specifically and directly to the right and the Republican Party.
History lesson: The
#walkaway movement was created by a guy who was a
actor want to be. He failed at this. He also wanted to be a big hit in the social media world. If you look at what he says, he even states that he supported & voted for Hillary. He tried to post anti-Trump stuff on social media, but no one really paid attention. After all, he was just one of the many. Then he gets the brilliant idea...
I'll be a gay guy who supports the Republican Party and Trump... I'll be one of the few... when I post something on social media everyone is going to freak out and start paying attention to me... Etc... etc... etc...
And this
is exactly what happened.
Who knows what this guy really believes. Probably nothing special. He literally just wanted attention. And he got it... but not from Democrats and left leaning Independents. He got it from Republican nut jobs like Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones who wanted to feed their audience a story that their audience wanted to hear.
