Well, I actually got shoved myself once a few years later, but in my case, I asked for it. The person who shoved me happened to be mentally unstable, too, but he had more of a motive put his hands on me, in my opinion.

We were playing a game in which we were throwing pens at each other. I got overexcited by the game and I went next doors to the neighboring classroom and sought out a new target. I stopped at the open door and threw the pen over it and heard the said person of this reply, Jack, cursing. I ran back to the other room and he followed me.

In front of several eye witnesses, Jack shoved me hard. I didn't shove him back or retaliate, because I had a feeling that it would lead to something worse. In this scenario, I provoked him by mortar launching a pen at him when he wasn't involved in my friend's game, so I can understand his reaction.

This is one example of provoked retaliation in which the person affected resorted to shoving the guilty party. Does what I did justify the act of shoving, rather than hitting someone back for provoking them?

IMO, when someone that isn't special needs , purposely involves a person that is ,in an altercation of any kind, that person is in the wrong by default.

You're right, I was. Had I been a little more mature, I certainly would have not done what I did. The problem was back then I was very impulsive. I had self-control issues and this was one time when the devil got his due.

Are elderly considered 'special' - need to be treated with special consideration? Was visiting my son's high school, hanging on to the railings as I walked up some stairs. I do this when needed, because at times I get shaky on my feet, off balance (health, too much caffeine, vision issues, age). All of a sudden, I tripped. Was thinking, what a clutz I was. **Looked around, and I spotted this 'young chick' down at the bottom of the stairs, to the side, looking all innocent, 'as if her sh*t didn't stink - but she was trying tooooo hard to look so innocent.

She stuck her foot out tripping me, on purpose.
Waaaaaat - provoked, premeditated for sure. I could of broken my leg!!!
Welll, I "could of". I later found out she/others do this often for fun. **Provoked relatiation would of been warranted, then, but I quietly confronted her and suggested she not do that any more. Not nice. After that, it seemed like a good time to turn around, walk away, go about my business.

Tripping an older person on purpose is a pretty damn lousy thing to do. You can look on YouTube and you'll find all kinds of vid clips of people setting up hidden cameras in their houses to make sure that the help isn't abusing their parents. So a few of those clips where the worker just leaned over and slaps the s*** out of this old lady and she was out of it, too old to really communicate properly and didn't know what the score was. Sad stuff.

Yeah, as I said she was a 'young chick'.

Sure she will see the error of her ways as she gets older and matures.

Why do you guys quote things out of context - I've just realized this has been a really long and ongoing joke.

Teacher's request is fine

We're talking about Captain-Save-a-Hoe demeaning Freddy like he was Freddy's dad or someone who had a voice that Freddy should worry about.

If it was really eating at your friend, instead of confronting Freddy he should've addressed the teacher and told her he would do the small jobs for her ---> a more tactful way of showing Freddy up that doesn't show him down.

This is or should be the answer the OP is looking for.
I knew that Myron shouldn't have involved himself with Freddy, but I didn't give any thought to a solution .

I wouldn't say an elderly person is special needs, but I do say that, that little b**** and her friends could benefit or is in need of a special Kind of attention from some one who knows what respect for others is.

Now I'm not advocating provoking any little b**** that my present herself , but if ever in the future you find that there's a good cancer of you and coming in contact , have a cane or pretty walking stick or maybe umbrella in hand and 'do unto others before they do unto you.'

waaaat? that discreet? Like a sharp rap?
Had I not squelched my first minute (min-oot) response - it would of been a full blown melee! Bring it!

It wasn't the tripping so much that bothered me most, it was the
fact that she sat back and met my gaze (more then once) in that
'oh-so-innocent---never-saw-a-thing---don't-know-nothing' stonewall 'dumb' look.

I was thinking about freddy and Myron's situation.

I thinking understand if I was watching this situation, if I should butt in this situation or not. I could have stop this situation, there was enough time.

I was at the same age as freddy and Myron, I might not be mature to the right thing, I simply don't how.

I think this kind of situation, that I or the op was old enough know what to at with this situation.

some time, it is best to nothing.
