I think it's awesome that employers use these tests!! I have yet to work for one that has. I think it says a lot about the character of the employer tho.
Not sure which field you're referring to when you say technical, but I work in accounting. I think that fits in a 'technical' field in regards to detail with numbers.
And that explains why I'm so low on the orange!!
I'm not a fan of most salespeople either. Not all tho. It's a needed field, for sure. I just can't stand all the shistery. Lmao I don't know if that's a real word or not. I started using it at the last place I worked that had 'doorknocker' salespeople. And they were exactly the type you and I can't stand, and part of the reason I went looking for a new job.
I kid about the sales people talk, but one thing that I did get out of that class was that all types are indeed needed. the instructors listed out a scenario of what it takes to scale a huge mountain and listed out how each personality type goes into solving "problems" ie, meaning that all types contribute to the success of any given task/issue. I still joke around about how the sales types drive me nuts, but again, they serve just as much purpose as the technical problem solvers of the green.
Up thread someone mentioned something about which color is the "best" ie, there isn't a "best", there just are types and the best is the synergy of combing all them as they are all needed at certain times and points.
